Adlai Atkins was like Leela an Orphan who lived in Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanarium. He has since become a doctor and after giving Leela two eyes he started to date her much to Fry's anger. He has an obsession with making things look normal and thinks that everyone who looks odd should have an operation especially if he wants to adopt them. Leela dumped him because of this, but not before making him reverse the procedure so she could have her single eye again.
