Centaurs are a species whose upper body appears human but lower body resembles that of a horse. Centaurs are known to partake in Centaur Racing, which is like horse racing except that the horse and jockey are one creature.
In Cornwood the Centaurs were originally peace loving creatures, who solved all their problems with debates that could last for a long time. Leegola led them to win the battle of Wipe Castle, after defeating Hermaphrodite at debate. Despite being sentient, they need someone else, like Scruffy, to clean up after them.
