Yeah well; some serious business. I personally believe that the skin, I have been working on is mature enough for widespread usage. There are obvious minor tweaks to be done. But I believe it is more neat and pretty looking than our current. I have to admit, after using this new skin, I almost despise the current one.

However, the new skin requires some new software, that the new.theinfosphere.org have been running on. In other words, new.theinfosphere.org will replace the usual wiki's base. Not to worry - everything will be backed up.

The new software version will be close to "bleeding edge" as it comes from the repository itself, rather than waiting for "milestone" releases. This will mean minor unforeseen bugs, but will also mean a lot easier management of code, since whenever a bug is discovered and fixed, it can be updated the minute it is fixed in the repository.

To summarise; when the skin is ready (which it is close to be), I will update the software. The wiki may not work for a small period of time. new.theinfosphere.org will also simply become theinfosphere.org --Svip 16:04, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
Those of you still on the old skin may have noticed the affiliates in the sidebar and the preference pages getting some bad style on them as a result of the updates. I have fixed these because I know we'll have users unwilling to update right away or returning months later, logging in and being disturbed. Monobook will now serve as the secondary skin during a transition period with Vector as the main one, so if any issues are found in either one, report them. - Quolnok 05:23, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

So, um... I found a minor thing. On a redirected page, the little redirect arrow is now almost invisible. Could probably use a recoloured one (especially a properly-themed one! With rings! Rings are stupid! Cool!) What? I confused myself. --Buddy 02:52, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
