Njörd was an Icelandic supermodel. Her exact position in Philip J. Fry, II's life is somewhat disputed, other than the fact that they did date at one point.

Since we do not know whether Yancy Fry, Jr. had any more children than Philip J. Fry, II, we have to assume that he is probably the ancestor of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, but even so, whether Njörd is actually part of the family tree or not has not been disclosed.
"The Luck of the Fryrish" (sometimes mistakenly listed as "The Luck of the Fryish") is the thirty-sixth episode of Futurama, the fourth of the third production season and the tenth of the third broadcast season. It aired 11 March, 2001 on FOX. Philip J. Fry discovers that he is not only person by that name, and suspects his brother of stealing his name, but in the end Fry discovers that his brother named his son in Fry's honour.

The Story
Act I: "Get your piping hot horse-burgers!"
In Old New York, sometime in the 20th century, Mrs. Fry is in labour. However, her attention seems to be on her portable radio, which is tuned in to a Mets game. Yancy Fry, Sr. names the child Philip, after those screwdrivers. Yancy Fry, Jr. is jealous of the name, but his father informs him that he's named after a proud line of Yancy Fry's. Yancy Fry, Sr. leaves the room, and Yancy steals a rocketship from a mobile hung over Philip's crib.

Back in the year 3000, the crew is attending the horseraces. Fry does horribly with his bets. Amy is with her parents in the luxury box, and, in their constant quest for grandchildren, they attempt to set up Amy with their best jockey. Leela and Hermes go to the concession stand, where they encounter a paper-hatted salesman, for some horse-themed (and horse-derived) food. Meanwhile in the stables, Bender is drugging the horses with a hypo-spray. He is interrupted by a jockey, but drugs him as well. Fry prays to the horse-god in hopes of winning the final race, but his horse falls asleep due to Bender's drugging. Fry proclaims that he'll hold on to his last dollar, which then blows away. It lands on a power line, and after Fry is unable to reach it, he tries again with a rake. But lightning strikes the rake and electrocutes him. He seems only slightly hurt, but lightning strikes twice, knocking him from the telephone pole. He lands in a garbage can, and the concession stand cook dumps trash on top of him.

Act II: "Dirt doesn't need luck."
In the past, Philip and Yancy are having a one-on-one game of basketball, where Fry is doing poorly. However, when sent to retrieve the ball, he finds a seven-leaf clover. After tucking it into his wristband, he makes an amazing shot and Yancy storms off.

In the year 3000, Bender counts his winnings from fixing the race, and Fry's head is still smoking from the lightning strike. Fry mentions his clover to the crew, and a wig-robot arrives with Fry's replacement hair. Zoidberg suggests that maybe the clover is still in the place he left it, so Fry plans to enter the ruins of Old New York to look for his clover. He recruits the help of Leela, who he'll need to bend the bars which might be blocking the tunnels. Bender, however, points out that "bending" is his middle name—Literally. Together, Fry, Leela, and Bender climb down a manhole to the ruins.

Act III: "Stop hogging the clover!"
Walking through the ruins of Old New York, Fry does the things he could never do before. Like proclaiming that Howard Stern is overrated, leaving payphones off the hook, and jaywalking. Though this last is foiled by a large lizard trampling Fry.

In the past, Yancy and Philip are trying out for a breakdancing troupe, who wish to win a competition, which gives parachute pants as a prize. After Philip's tryout, Yancy does the exact same routine, with poorly-disguised names. To show up Yancy, Philip performs the septuple headspin, three more rotations than the previous record. Yancy then attempts to steal the clover from Philip, but Philip runs home.

Fry determines to get his clover back, and assumes it might still be at his old house. In the ruins of Old New York, Bender mounts the subway tracks and Fry and Leela hop aboard. They arrive at Newkirk Avenue, a station in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. While walking through Fry's old neighborhood, Fry reminisces about the past, and meets one of his old neighbors who has turned into a mutant. They arrive at Fry's old house, which, although in horrible condition, seems to have survived the alien attacks without damage (or at least, without further damage).

Act IV: "Allow me!"
Philip arrives home with Yancy in hot pursuit. Philip tries telling his mother, but she is, as usual, distracted by sports (this time, golf). Philip goes into the storage room/bomb shelter, where he hides the clover inside the sleeve for the Breakfast Club soundtrack, which is in turn locked into the Ronco Record Vault.

Fry, Bender, and Leela enter the storage room, and after the lock on the vault proves to be jammed, Bender opens it by oscillating on the structural resonance frequency of the vault. But Fry finds that the clover (as well as whatever else was hidden within the record sleeve) is missing. They leave Fry's house in defeat, but before they can leave the ruins of Old New York, they come upon a statue resembling Yancy, but with an inscription reading "Philip J. Fry"—and Fry's seven-leaf clover in his lapel. In rage, Fry strikes the statue, injuring his hand (Fry rants "He stole my life... and he broke my hand!", to which Bender quips "His legend lives on!").

Act V: "I should be the one in that grave!"
Somehow, they bring the statue back to Planet Express, where they learn about the person immortalized by the statue. A video on the internet shows Philip J. Fry's life. After a string of good luck, including being the first person on Mars, it is shown that he was buried with the clover, so it could bring him luck in the next life (perhaps, some Egyptians believe). Fry decides they should go to the cemetary and dig up the body to retrieve his clover.

In the past, Yancy prepares for his wedding, putting on the camouflage tuxedo that his father wore in Vietnam. While looking for music to play at the wedding, Yancy forces the lock on the Ronco Record Vault, and finds the Breakfast Club soundtrack. Inside it, he finds the seven-leaf clover.

On the Orbiting Meadows Cemetery, Fry, Leela, and Bender arrive at the gravesite, and begin digging. While digging, Fry knocks loose a chunk of moss from the tombstone.

Back in the past, Yancy and his wife are cuddling their newborn child. Yancy pulls the clover out of his pocket and gives it to the child. Yancy names the child Philip J. Fry, in honour of his lost brother.

While Fry is reading the inscription he uncovered ("Here lies Phillip J. Fry. Named for his uncle, to carry on his spirit"), realising the grave is not his brother's, but his nephew's, Bender strikes the casket and emerges with the clover (and his wedding ring). Leela, however, understands that Fry needs a moment alone, and sets off with Bender. Fry tearfully replaces the clover in his nephew's grave and smiles.
*Fry, Leela, and Bender get off the subway line at the Newkirk Avenue subway station, implying that Fry's 20th century home is in Flatbush, Brooklyn, Old New York.
*The newspaper dispenser Fry stands on has a New York Post reading "MAYOR PREDICTS VICTORY OVER ALIENS".
*A sign at the horse races in alien code reads "Not Without My Egg Case- Tonight on Lifetime." This is a reference to the Sally Field movie "Not Without My Daughter" which, as a film with a woman struggling to save her daughter and herself, would definitely appear on 'Lifetime, Television for Women.'
Scruffy is the undead janitor at Planet Express and is the only person working for Planet Express who isn't a primary character. He reads pornography, and believes in his company, as evident by his purchase of 30,000 more shares of Planet Express than the rest of its employees. The other members of staff only see him occasionally, and rarely recognize him when they do. Sometimes he doesn't recognize them either.

Biography
Little is known about Scruffy's background, but he has been working at the Planet Express delivery company since at least 2995, when he became employee of the year. It has also been implied that Scruffy died once, as Hermes mentions bringing him back "as a zombie" 6ACV16. In the early years of the 31st century, he also took several other jobs, for example at the Le Spa and as a roadie for the Beastie Boys.

He entered the Panama Wormhole, after helping to rescue his colleagues, along with all the other Planet Express staff members (ItWGY), and was killed and then reborn a short time later 6ACV01.

At the end of "Neutopia", Scruffy was in the bathroom while all other characters were having their genders corrected, but in "Yo Leela Leela" Scruffy appeared as a male.

In a coverage of the Futurama panel at San Diego Comic Con 2011, it was stated that "Scruffy will get a boon as well, becoming a notary next year!"

Friendships and relationships
Though no-one at Planet Express seemed to know him in the year 3000, he and Fry seems to have developed a friendship off-stage. Fry once said that he didn't tell anyone about the location of his seven leaf clover - "not even Scruffy" 3ACV04. Fry is also shown having everyone's phone numbers, but he has two to Scruffy, home and cell (TBWABB)

Scruffy also accompanies the rest of the crew to a Sith-il War Reenactment 6ACV06. For no apparent reason, he was seen cooking Zoidberg on a spit later in the same episode.

In 3010, Scruffy's wash bucket swaps bodies with Amy Wong, and confesses her feelings for him. While admitting his own love, he realises that it's wrong, even in a human body, as they are too different - him, a man, and her, janitorial equipment. He ultimately asks her to leave before he changes his mind, and falls back crying to his bed 6ACV10

Sometime before the events of "Law and Oracle" Scruffy died, and was revived as a zombie.

Production
Scruffy was originally just a background character seen working various jobs, and the colour of his hat, hair and mustache often changed between appearances. Writers brought him in on the murder scene of "Anthology of Interest I" because they were running out of non-dead characters at Planet Express, and from there on his permanent role as the janitor of Planet Express was cemented when he was brought back in later episodes without changing jobs.
*Scruffy often refers to himself in the third person when he talks, except when he has to introduce himself, in which case he will say "I'm Scruffy, the janitor".
*Has both a home and cell phone available to be called on Fry's cell phone in The Beast with a Billion Backs.
*In Bender's Game, he became a person who apparently cleans up after the Centaurs.
*He has more stock than the rest of the Planet Express crew, making him the largest shareholder in the company.
*It is implied he has been imprisoned at some point in his life.

In 3010, Scruffy's wash bucket changes bodies with Amy Wong, and confesses her feelings for him.

Trivia
*Matt Groening has stated that Scruffy was named after "a bar in Venice, California". He is presumably referring to Scruffy O'Shea's, a restaurant located in Venice, California.
*Scruffy puts cameras up in every room in "Futurama Returns".
*A comment made by Fry in "The Luck of the Fryrish" ("I didn't reveal the clover's location to anyone. Not even to Scruffy!") suggests that the two may have become close friends. But, at the time, this was more likely to be a joke on the fact that everyone always seem not to know who Scruffy is. However, in The Beast with a Billion Backs Fry is shown to keep two of Scruffy's numbers, vs. one of everyone else's. This seems to extend the joke even further.
*Before the episode "Anthology of Interest I", when his real job was cemented, Scruffy had different seen jobs not in Planet Express.
**He had a career at Le Spa.
**He also worked as a roadie for the Beastie Boys.
*"The Sting" suggests he might be Scottish, though this was during Leela's coma dream.
*His hair turned gray prior to (or during) "Anthology of Interest I". The hair and hat colour alternates between old and new during that episode.
*Scruffy is regularly seen with adult magazines such as National Pornographic, Play-Boy-Ar-De, Zero-G-Juggs, Extra Long Honkers, etc. He reads the articles.
*Has yet to complete his masters in Theoretical Janitorial Science.
*Scruffy's character is based on Billy Bob Thorton's character (Karl Childers) in the movie Sling Blade
*The October page of the 2008 Futurama wall calendar states that his last name is "Scruffington", this may not be canon.
The Morboians are a humanoid species of green aliens. They have yellow eyes and gigantic heads, which are capable of inflating and deflating. This suggests that they may contain their lungs. The Morboians seem to be a bald species, much like the Decapodians and the Antarians. Very little is known about the species, as we don't known their name (Morboians coming from Morbo) or their homeworld, and the only identified creatures are Morbo and Fawn.

We know from what Morbo has said, however, that there is a large Morboian society, and it seems they are planning a very blatant and shameless attack on Earth. It's unknown whether they are a member of DOOP or not, but they are probably not that civilized.
Though it is unknown if Morboians live in a tribal setting or not, it is evident that they are somewhat technologically advanced. Their skin color comes in various shades of green, as well as tourqoise, and, like some Humans, they have bulging veins, although this seems to be a species trait rather than a personal thing, the color of which compliments the skin. Morboians have slitted eyes, which means they probably have great eyesight in both dim light and broad day light. It is assumed that Morbo and his species are reptilian. Though they complain and fight at times, it is still occasionally shown that these creatures know how to love each other, as Morbo shows Fawn, in his own odd way.
Lord Nibbler is a member of a proud and ancient race, the Nibblonians. Born 274 BC, he is old and wise, and with a high status in the Nibblonian world, yet he prefers to be Turanga Leela's pet, and a member of the Planet Express crew.

Biography
Synopsis
Lord Nibbler was responsible for pushing Fry into the cryogenic tube and sending him to the year 3000. Nibbler was stationed on Vergon 6 until Leela discovered him there and instantly fell for his cuteness. He is the Nibblonian Ambassador on Earth and has recently become a member of the Planet Express crew.

Stationed on Vergon 6
Lord Nibbler was born on Planet Eternium in 274 BC, making him almost 3300 years old, one of the oldest characters in the series. Not much is known of Nibbler's biography before New Years' Eve, 1999, at which time he was stationed at the planet Vergon 6 alongside a great number of his species. At this time, the Nibblonians had learned that Philip J. Fry was "the Mighty One", the only being in the universe capable of stopping the Brain Spawn over a thousand years later. However, because Fry lived in the 20th century, Nibbler got the mission to make sure that he fell into the cryogenic tube at Applied Cryogenics, frozen until the year 3000.

Nibbler continued to be stationed on Vergon 6 for the next thousand years, but due to Dark Matter being the excrement of the Nibblonians, the planet's core was slowly filled with the valuable Dark Matter. As a result, a DOOP mining operation started, and as the core was mined out, the planet was left hollow and as a consequence dangerously sensitive for a coming implosion. The Nibblonians soon fled the planet, but Nibbler was pooping at the time, and was thus left behind.

Hiding his intelligence
On 13 April, 3000, the Planet Express crew - Leela, Bender and Fry - landed on Vergon 6 to rescue the animals left from the coming implosion of the planet. They encountered Nibbler (who ate the rest of the animals), and fled moments before the planet's doom. Nibbler hid his real identity and intelligence from the crew, and indeed from all non-Nibblonians he would encounter, and pretended to just be a dumb pet. Leela took Nibbler in, in the belief that he was dog-like in intelligence, and made him her pet.

Lord Nibbler hid his intelligence until the day the Earth stood stupid, when he told Leela the truth about his orgins. This eventually helped Fry defeat the Brain Spawn, an enemy to the Nibblonians. After this, he erased Leela's memory in order to keep everything in secret. While Fry's memories were not erased, no-one believed his story, and with time he forgot it. Later, Nibbler got Fry into the game, as he led him through time to destroy the Infosphere. He then deleted Fry's memory as well, so that he could fulfil his purpose undetected.

Revealed to the Crew
In 3007, he finally revealed his true nature to the whole crew during a failed attempt to avert disaster and on seeing the formation of a dangerous tear in the time-space continuum. Nibbler escaped the universe by swallowing himself, forgetting to blank everyone's memories. He returned in 3008, after Yivo was gone. It is unknown how he managed to get back to our universe. Nibbler was kidnapped by Mom's sons and imprisoned in a dark matter farm with hundreds of other Nibblonians. After this, he once again didn't wipe their memories. Despite everybody knowing that he was sentient, the Planet Express crew continued to treat him like a pet... until August of 3010, when he was granted the status of crew member.
Character description
Appearance and clothing
Nibbler has (like other Nibblonians) three eyes, one of which is on an "eye stalk", a single nostril, and fang-like teeth. He is knee-tall compared to humans, and mostly covered in fur.

While at the headquarters, he always wears a red cape, small yellow shoes and baby diapers. When accompanied by other Nibblonians and on missions, however, he is much more formally dressed. He also has a naval uniform which he dresses up in on occasion, and in which his best friend for some reason died.

Name
As Nibbler remarks in "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid", his true name is not really Nibbler - that was just the name that Leela gave him when first finding him 1ACV04. The other Nibblonians uses this name as well, however, when speaking in English, because his true name would take too long to pronounce properly, or so he claims.

Age
As shown in "The Why of Fry", Nibbler was already an adult with no apparent physical changes in 1999 as compared to the 31st century. In the same episode, he tells Fry that his species "live long". As a bonus to the Volume Two DVD, Nibbler's age was revealed to be 3,277.

When Nibbler's right fang broke in "I Second that Emotion", the veterinarian told Leela that the rings on his tooth could indicate his age ("if he's anything like the common tree"). Taking his word for granted, this had Leela assume that Nibbler was five years for a while.

Family
Nibbler has no known direct family, although Leela could be seen as his adoptive mother, or owner.

Personality
While on the surface pretending to be a cuddly pet - long even disguising his intelligence entirely - Nibbler is highly intelligent and sophisticated. He enjoys being Leela's "schnuchoms", but sometimes longs for intelligent conversation and approval in the human world.

Production
The character of Nibbler was planned before the pilot, including that he would really be a talking, intelligent alien, and that he would hold the truth of the greater conspiracy that had Fry frozen. While everything wasn't planned out from the beginning, the writers included Nibbler's shadow for a short second as Fry falls into the tube in "Space Pilot 3000", in spite of Nibbler's first real appearance being several episodes later, and in spite of the bigger conspiracy starting to unveil several seasons later.

His original appearance was hard to pin-point. Matt Groening insisted that he was supposed to be extremely cute, but that when looking at his separate components - his eye stalk, his one nostril, his fangs - he seems really ugly. In one original design of Nibbler, he would have drool constantly hanging from his nostril, but without ever dripping.

As of "That Darn Katz!", Nibbler and Scruffy are the only members of the Planet Express crew who are not primary characters.
Trivia
*When Nibbler's right fang broke in "I Second that Emotion" (when he chewed at Bender's butt), it was replaced by a tooth of belonging to a veterinarian.
*If you look closely, you can see Nibbler's shadow under the chair when Fry falls into the tube in "Space Pilot 3000".
**In "Anthology of Interest I", when Fry misses the freezer by an inch in the alternate future the What-If Machine shows, Nibbler's shadow is gone, though this may be why Fry doesn't go to the future in that separate version of the timeline.
**However, in "The Why of Fry", when Fry tries to cross Nibbler and eventually decides to let himself be sent to the future after all, there are two shadows under the desk - those of Nibbler and Fry (seen earlier in "Jurassic Bark").
*Nibbler's spaceship, parked inside a container near the Planet Express headquarters, is just big enough to accept him and an adult human - if Nibbler scootches up his seat, that is.
*The dark matter he excretes was used to fuel the Planet Express ship, before the events of Bender's Game.
*He comes in the Toynami action figure line as an one of the Professor's accessories.
*It is unknown if Nibbler was present in Universe Gamma during the events of the second movie, as he fled it by the end of the first one.
*He won a Tony Award for his performance in Nibbler on the Roof.
*He planted a tracking chip in Leela's Wristlojackimator for emergencies.
*His third eye can summon his ship and change the appearance of other beings (this has only been done to Fry), however, this drains his strength and he can only keep it up for a short period of time.
*Nibbler ate himself to get out of Universe Γ, implying that his stomach transports matter to another universe.
