Religions
Church of Trek
A religion based on Star Trek. By the height of this religion's membership, Germany had been renamed to "Nazi Planet Episode Land". Following or during the Star Trek Wars of the 2200s Star Trek was banned due to the amount it threatened world leaders and the church was banned, members were thrown into a volcano. The cast of the original series (excluding Leonard Nimoy's Head) and the remaining videos left the planet.

First Amalgamated Church
Created from the merging of major 20th Century religions - Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Led by Father Changstein el Gamahl.
clear

Oprahism
A mainstream religion, probably started by, or for, Oprah Winfrey.

Religion of Mutants
Over Christmas (suggesting they mutated before the second coming of Jesus) and Easter the Sewer Mutants gather in church to worship an unexploded nuclear bomb.

Robotology
Led by Preacherbot, Robotology has many customs. Sinners will be collected by the Robot Devil to spend eternity in Robot Hell, in New Jersey. The religious text of Robotology is The Good Book 3.0

Robot Judaism
Believe that Robot Jesus was a well built robot, but not their Messiah.

Salvation Army
As a part of the armed forces, they collect weapons to give to the defenseless so they can be safe on Xmas Eve.

Space Catholicism
Led by the Space Pope. Nothing else known.

The Monks of Shubah
Believe that God exists somewhere in the depths of space. Built a powerful radio telescope in the Himalayas to try and find him. Fry managed to reach a being similar to this, who then sent Bender back to Earth. The Monks have been searching for 700 years. Strictly non-violent.

Vodou/Voodoo
Vodou has become a mainstream religion by the 31st century. This may have something to do with the increased number of zombies and may have been brought on by the birth of Zombie Jesus.

Zombie Jesus
Info: Zombie Jesus has not been seen, but is often mentioned by The Professor. Jesus' second coming was in 2443. He is featured in The Story of Xmas

Quote - Fry: I feel like I was mauled by Jesus.

Regular Jesus
Info: The standard Christian version of Jesus apparently exists alongside (but likely separate from) the zombie version. People in the future know enough about him that they recognize Zoidberg's Jesus costume as such (and don't call him "Zombie Jesus"). It is unclear what role the figure of Regular Jesus plays in modern religion, however.

Quote - Zoidberg (as Jesus): I help those who help themselves! [while running away]

Appeared: 3ACV03

Info: Apparently the central icon of religion in the sewers, it's followers are rather lax in their beliefs and mainly only worship on certain religious holidays (Christmas and Easter).

Quote: Wow, you guys worship an unexploded nuclear bomb?

Robot Devil
Events
Origin of the Universe
The origin of the universe is a big part of most religions. It seems that Nibblonians had already existed for 17 years before the universe was created. Nibbler explained the creation of the universe to Leela (it was not revealed to viewers) and she responded with "Then the meaning of existence-- [Nibbler acknowledges.] So every religion is wrong!"

Star Wars Trek
A mass migration of Star Wars fans, whether this is actually a religion based event is uncertain, however it bares a very similar name to the Star Trek Wars. The Jedi were also mentioned at one point, which may indicate that if, in fact, a religion was formed, then it probably wasn't disbanded like the Trek counterpart.

The Beast with a Billion Backs is the second of the four Direct-to-DVD films to be released in 2008.
The sneak peek from the special edition of Bender's Big Score exclusive to Best Buy appears to be telling the story onward from where Bender's Big Score ends, namely the riff in time and space. What we can tell from anamatic is that the riff is the gateway to another universe, and soon some huge tentacles comes out and starts controlling Fry, who becomes pope of a new religion (notice the tentacles in the teaser image from Futurama Returns below). Bender seems to be upset about something.

Meanwhile, more stuff about Kif and Amy's relationship, Fry gets a girlfriend with four other boyfriends (at the same time) before he becomes a pope and Farnsworth and Wernstrom battle once again.

This is followed by the entire human population "dying" and going to "Heaven", and thus giving Earth onward to the robots, because robots don't go to Heaven.

When trying to see the rip's effect on a giant ant, the Professor accidentally focuses it on himself.

Right now the anamatic can be seen here on YouTube, though it could be taken down soon.
Philip Joshua Fry is the advisor of Al Gore during the 2000 Presidential election.

Biography
As the vote in Florida is being counted, Philip Joshua Fry is informing Al Gore that he is likely to win the election. But due to Bender's hunt for Philip J. Fry, he interrupts and starts shooting after Joshua Fry (after Al Gore discreetly points to him when Bender yells "Philip Fry?!").

He runs out of the room, which leads to Bender shooting the basket with the ballots for Al Gore, and thus losing the important votes to win the election, and Bush wins it in the end.
Futurama was produced and broadcast by originally by 20th Century Fox. Its creators, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, did all the early design and writing of the show, from the original conception through to production. Durring production, they stayed closely involved, to ensure the show stayed on-vision and up to quality.

Fox executives, initially excited, didn't really understand the show when episodes started coming out. Consequentially, the show was not given the best treatment by the network. It was plagued with schedule changes and cancellations; of the first production season of 13 episodes, only 9 episodes were aired during the first broadcast season. Fox maintained this treatment for a while before announcing they were pulling the plug on the series.

The show aired for a total of 5 seasons, airing a total of 72 episodes comprising 4 production seasons. This period also saw the start of the continuing series of comics and the release of a game.

Syndication
The DVD volumes came out, and they outsold everyone's expectations. When Cartoon Network picked up the syndication rights and began airing the show weeknights on Adult Swim, the show built up its fan base and quickly became one of the network's highest-rated shows. This surge of popularity added fuel to the existing fan community, who have been crying out for more episodes since news of the show's cancellation by Fox.

The show will continue to air on Adult Swim until the end of 2007, at which time their contract expires and the rights will go to Comedy Central, who out-bid Cartoon Network for the contract renewal. Comedy Central will broadcast the show until 2012.

The Wait
Rumors have abounded for years. However, intensity of rumors increased in 2005, and in January of 2006 Billy West made an announcement on his web site. He stated that David X. Cohen called him and told him they got a green light to produce 4 feature-length Futurama movies for release to DVD. Production is supposedly to begin in July of 2006, and the first DVD couldn't be expected to hit shelves until at least late 2007. Fans everywhere wait with baited breath, hoping Fox doesn't change their minds or back out of the deal.

Straight to DVD Movies
Four DVD movies are being planned. Matt Groening, David X. Cohen and numerous writers from the original series are working on the movies.

The first movie, Futurama: Bender's Big Score, is in production with a target release date of Christmas 2007. All old cast members will be returning to do the voices of their previous characters.

The first movie is written by Ken Keeler, with story by Ken Keeler and David X. Cohen, and will include return appearances by the Nibblonians, Seymour, Barbados Slim, Morbo, Santa Bot, the "God" space entity, Al Gore, and Zapp Brannigan.

In the movie, Planet Express sees a hostile takeover and Bender falls into the hands of criminals where he is used to fulfill their schemes.

Comedy Central
In late June 2006 it was learned that Comedy Central had resurrected Futurama. At least 16 new episodes will be produced for the first time since the series originally ran from 1999-2003. Comedy can run both the existing and new episodes in January 2008 when their contract takes effect. Katey Sagal was first to confirm the return during an interview on the American series Late Late Show, she had been so excited she didn't read the entire contract before signing. The previously discussed movies are to be made as episodes.
Troggahttp://theinfosphere.org/index.php?title=Computer_Judge&diff=18893Computer Judge2007-12-28T07:32:52Z
Trogga: Sounds more like Tom Kenny

Leelu is a narwhal which Philip J. Fry is very fond of as he works with her from 2003 to 2010. He tries to catch her during 2010 to 2012, but when he does, he ends up setting her free. Leeloo is most obviously an animal representation of Leela, which is also apparent from the name similarities.

Biography
In 2003, Leelu winds up in Atlanta city, but is soon taken to New York. There she won't eat, but as soon as Fry arrives, she gets her to eat. And they become the best of friends. But sadly, after 7 years of friendship, she must be released into the wild again.

But Fry will not give up, he sets out to catch her. It takes him two years, but finally he manages. But holding her captured for several days makes him realise that she is in love with another narwhal, and it cannot make him happy to watch her wanting to get out. So he decides to release her.

Additional info
Trivia
* The similarities/connection between Leela and Leelu are quite many and obvious.
** Obviously their names.
** It is noted by Fry that he "likes things that have one thing instead of two", but in reality, narwhals only have one horn.
** As many times as possible, when there is a fade from Leelu to Leela, the horn is placed where Leela's eye is in the following scene.
** Notably, Fry says a lot of the same things to Leelu as he does to Leela.
** Leeloo was coloured purple as a reference to Leela's hair, while the male narwhal she is in love with is coloured orange like Fry's hair.
* After the writers did the scene, they realised that it was rare for a female narwhal to have a horn (which is common for the male narwhals), they thus changed the line to introduce her as a "rare" female narwhal.
Bender's Big Score is the first of the four Direct-to-DVD films, and was released on November 27, 2007 in the USA. Years have passed since The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, both in the show and in reality, the opening reflects this, but also reflects the cancellation of the show.

Each of the films will be chopped up into four episodes each, possibly with additional material, for the Comedy Central season due to air in 2008.
spoiler

The film is introduced with a cold opening, with Hermes introducing everyone by their full name and title. Apparently, Hermes is now a grade 34 bureaucrat. But as he introduces Farnsworth, Farnsworth tells the crew that they are all fired, because the delivery network canceled their license two years ago. However, the phone rings, and he is soon told that the people who canceled their license were themselves fired for incompetence, brutally beaten, and some killed. The one who died were ground into a fine powder, marketed as Torgo's Executive Powder. They throw a party, and as Hermes shows his moves in limbo, his head is cut off by a falling sabre, and his body is crushed under the Planet Express Ship.

The title sequence starts, with altered music, and introductions of each character, but with the same familiar events in the sequence. At the Head Museum, Hermes is put in a temporary head jar by Lars, the jar feeder at the Head Museum, while Lars flirts with Leela. When LaBarbara and Dwight enter to find Hermes in a jar and learn that his body won't be fixed for at least a week, LaBarbara immediately goes out to find a handsome, new husband. Farnsworth enters to tell the crew that they have a delivery to take to the Nude Beach Planet.

At the Nude Beach Planet, Leela finds out Fry has a tattoo of Bender on his ass, which even Fry is surprised to find. Later, Bender is asked by Nudar and his gang to sign a petition and to give them his email address. They manages to get most of Planet Express crew to sign up.

Back on Earth, Leela is dealing with a lot of spam, but an email about an animal going extinct unless it gets her bank account number opens her eye. Similarly, Amy is also getting spammed, and manages to order some fake anti-depressant pills. Bender is keen on the fact that he can Get Rich Watching Porn, but ignores when his system tells him to perform a virus scan. He is immediately infected with the iObey virus. Dr. Zoidberg is the victim of a Nigerian scam.

When Farnsworth finds out about the scams (with his illegal keylogging software), he wishes to teach the crew how to spot scams on the Internet. But he becomes a victim as well; He believes that he won the Spanish National Lottery for a grand prize of 400 dollars. He signs the form on the site, and immediately the doorbell rings. When Farnsworth opens the door, Nudar and his gang informs him that they now own the company, presenting a contract signed by the Professor.

Bender, being infected with the obedience virus welcomes the new masters. And soon Planet Express is turned into the base of operations for the nudists' scams. Later, Lars returns to bring Hermes his permanent jar and asks Leela out. The scammers are apparently a species who enjoy information (may even feed off it, in some way), and they sense a large amount around Fry, or rather a very important piece of information. Which is revealed to be the tattoo of Bender on his ass. Then, they force the Professor use a large microscope to zoom in on it to see if there is any information in the tattoo, and in Bender's eye on the tattoo is a binary code. Nudar tells Bender to read it aloud or Scruffy dies. As he finishes it, the Galaxy Entity hears it, and sends back a time sphere.

As they debate what they can do with the time sphere, Nibbler appears to warn them about the consequences of using it, shocking everyone with his ability to speak. After an unsuccessful attack by the Nibblonians' kitten-class ships, Nudar wants to take the time sphere for a ride. Farnsworth objects, because time travel invariably creates a paradox. Nibbler informs them that it is a paradox-correcting time code, which means everything will work out all right. Nudar travels back to one day prior, where he meets himself, and apparently made out with himself (and possibly more). Suddenly the Smell-O-Scope falls upon the new duplicate of Nudar and kills him. In Farnsworth's words: "Paradox resolved."

A problem occurs with their plans to steal all things of value in Earth's history. Because the time sphere can only get them back to the past, not forward into the future, they may be able to steal things, but they would be dead before they could reap the benefits. Bender informs them that he can travel back in time, steal the stuff, then hang out in the basement of the building, and come up after a few centuries or more. And so his stealing of Earth's past values begins. And in 2206, where the Nobel Peace Price is being given to an unknown person for bringing a truce between the East and West Coast Rappers, Bender's ship and it's decoys destroy the original New York (1ACV01) while escaping after stealing the Nobel Peace Prize.

Meanwhile, Hermes' wife LaBarbara has left him for Barbados Slim. Lars informs him that since the scammers bought the hospital, his body won't be fixed for a while, maybe years.

Farnsworth wants to sell off his doomsday devices in order to make money, but he won't sell his favorite, the Sphere (very similar to the one used to stop chronoton particles from bombarding the universe (3ACV14), possibly a replacement), which he places in a satchel he then handcuffs around his wrist. The scammers order Bender to get it, using the old method of "Switcheroo", replacing the real satchel with an empty one. Bender does this by sawing off the professor's hand. When Hermes sees how well Zoidberg sewed the professor's hand back on, he asks if he could do the same for him and his body. Hermes asks Bender to go back in time and get an undamaged body from the past. When they get the body, Zoidberg puts Hermes' head on backwards.

Meanwhile, the professor has invited the Globetrotters to assist in figuring out how paradox-free time travel is possible, and Sweet Clyde's "razamatazz" calculus ensures it is. The reason is due to the doom field in the equation, which means that a duplicate created from a time travel is always doomed. This essentially means that, although no paradoxes are created, the universe balances itself out by eventually destroying duplicated matter.

Lars and Leela goes out on a date, and Bender has finally stolen all the stuff the scammers wanted. However, now that the scammers are rich, they suddenly care if the universe gets destroyed. They intend to delete the code from Bender and vaporise Fry—rather than just removing the tatto—in case he memorized the code. Fry escapes by using a mirror to read the code off of his tattoo. He travels back to January 1, 2000, 12:30 AM. Bender is ordered to travel back a few moments before he arrives and terminate him (hence the "cool" sunglasses he wears, mimicking "The Terminator"—though he just claimed it was brighter in the past). Bender arrives at 12:28 a.m., but after drinking the beer Fry left before he was frozen, Bender (for the first time) needs to go to the bathroom. So he goes back 19 seconds in time and asks the former Bender to wait for Fry to come while he goes to bathroom, creating a doomed Bender duplicate.

Before Fry arrives, another copy of Bender arrives in a tuxedo and tattoos Fry's backside. Fry arrives, and Bender threatens to kill him, but when Fry explains he is his friend, Bender goes into Automatic Destruct Sequence due to an internal error in programming. Before he can explode, Fry kicks Bender into the freezer and sets it for 1 million years.

The Bender in the bathroom leaves, and spots Fry waiting for the elevator. He tries to catch up, but is too slow. After giving up on suicide, he begins his hunt for Fry, and continuously fails in finding him. After 12 years, he finally catches up to Fry on the docks of New York City. Fry had grown a long beard and was walking off a boat. Bender calls for a cab (driven by Al Gore) and offers the former Vice President $100 to catch up with Fray. However, Gore's "Hybraxi" (a hybrid taxi) gets into an accident, and Bender is hurdled to Panucci's Pizza. Al Gore ominously explains that the hundred dollars Bender would have given him could have bought him one gallon of gas.

Bender spots Fry in the window above the restaurant, and shoots into the window, destroying much of the building. It collapses, and Bender cries over killing his best friend. He walks up from the basement in the Planet Express hangar, where he explains his mission is accomplished to the scammers. The scammers insert a head cleaning tape into his mouth, and the virus, the time code and 50 terabytes of porn are deleted.

In Central Park, the crew holds a memorial for Fry. And Bender explains it was he who killed him. But suddenly Fry reappears, and explains that at 1:00 AM, January 1, 2000, he realized that he had no money from that era. Knowing where he can find free pizza, he goes back to Applied Cryogenics, but since the pizza is cold, he travels back an hour to eat it while it was still hot. This is where he sees himself kicking Bender into the freezer, but his past Fry warns the current Fry of using the time code. The past Fry leaves, and the other remains.

Fry then realizes that his frozen self has a lot of old money, but since his pants is pulled down due to the tattooing of his buttocks, he touches his own butt while reaching for his wallet. He is terrified, and slips on the chair he originally fell from and into the tube with his time duplicate. When originally frozen Fry walks out of the tube on December 31, 2999. The other Fry turns the timer to 7.95 years and freezes himself again. He explains that he just came back to the park from the Cryogenics Lab at that moment. Lars leaves before Farnsworth explains to Bender that the Fry he killed was doomed anyway, being a time duplicate.

Fry learns that his other time-clone lived for 12 years before Bender killed him (coincidentally the same amount of time Seymore lived before dying), so Fry wonders what his life was like, and while none of the crew members got to know, the narrator declares that "You do! Lucky you!" Time-duplicate Fry returns to Panucci's, but instead of asking for food, he asks if he can rent the storage room upstairs. Mr. Panucci gives his permission and Fry begins living there. While watching television, Fry soon discovers that his true calling is helping a rare purple narwhal named Leelu.

Meanwhile, Fry in 3007 is getting his tattoo removed by Nibbler's third-eye (which emits a laser) so they cannot use the time code again. Since they are all unemployed now, and the entire city of New New York is being turned into a panda hunting reserve, they are all without homes. On Xmas in 3007, they are all living in an alley (which was nothing new to Zoidberg). Robot Santa appears while they are singing in the alley, and attacks them, and Leela explains in song that Lars proposed while they will hugging and singing in fear.

Back in the past, Fry is getting along with the narwhal, Leelu. He teaches it to eat and carries on a friendly relationship with it, even "swordfighting" by sticking a plunger to his head. But in 2010, he is informed that it must be sent back into the wild to make room for the Loch Ness Monster (which is just a log with a Halloween mask glued to it). Fry reluctantly agrees, but then later decides to follow the narwhal and capture her back.

In the future, the wedding between Leela and Lars begins. Fry's plan to stop the marriage is to replace the pen to sign the wedding license with one that has no ink. When Leela finds out that the pen isn't working, Lars nonchalantly pulls one from his pocket. As they are replacing the pen, they accidentally stick it in Hermes' eye as he is cleaning his glasses. He slips over a rope, and the chandelier falls down and destroys his body. The Professor exclaims that this was bound to happen, because the body was a time duplicate. When Lars hears this, he calls off the wedding and dumps Leela.

Meanwhile, Fry captures Leelu back, and has her placed in a tank on the ship. Leelu seems forelorn and distraught and won't eat or play with Fry. At first, Fry thinks that another narwhal outside the ship (this one with an orange-colored skin) is upsetting her.

In the future again, President Nixon reveals that he is about to close a deal to buy back Earth. Unfortunately, he fell for another obvious scam, and Earth looses its final bit of money. The populus is forced to evacuate the planet. Ships at South Street Spaceport carry people to different planets in the solar system. The Planet Express Ship is bound for Neptune. Once there, they meet Robot Santa, who is too depressed for murder and mayhem, as the scammers have also scammed him. But Leela decides it is time to fight back.

A strategy is proposed, but it is revealed that the scammers have used the money to build several remote-controlled solid gold Death Stars. Robot Santa reminds them that he still has elves to build weapons, so he gets together with the Kawanzaa-bot and the Chanukah Zombie. Soon their weapons are built, and they are ready to attack, being lead by Zapp Brannigan, whose plan is to send in a brigade of children first to buy them a few seconds. As they approach Earth, one of the Death Stars shoots down the Nimbus. Leela takes command of the fleet, but is soon overwhelmed by the complexity of directing so many ships. Hermes uses his vast knowledge of bureaucracy and organization to control the entire battle smoothly (with the help from the Professor, who wires his head into the mainframe). Soon, the battle is won.

But the scammers have one final trick up their sleeves. They reveal the doomsday device's bag that they stole from the Professor. Nudar gives them 30 seconds to decide on an ultimatum. Bender then reveals that he was the one who cut off the Professor's hand with an extremely dull saw. But to their surprise, he also reveals that he has the bag with the actual doomsday device, and that the scammers have been scammed. They fire off the device and destroy the scammers' ship. Bender explains that after he was off the virus, he pulled the old "Switcheroo" again, and got the device for himself.

Meanwhile, Fry in 2012 realizes that Leelu is actually in love with the male narwhal, and decides to set her free, in his words; "I want what makes you happy, not what makes me happy."

At the New Year's eve celebration, Lars comes and gives Hermes' his body back, fully repaired. Fry tells Leela to meet him at Applied Cryogenics, and he secretly invites Lars as well. But as Lars is trying to explain to Fry why he and Leela simply cannot be together, Nudar enters, explaining that he was wearing a doomproof vest. He says he wants the time code, but Fry stresses that Nibbler removed it from him. But Nudar isists that Lars has it. As Nudar threatens to kill Leela, Lars does what he says, explaining that he has always loved Leela. Lars goes to the tube with Bender in it and opens it, dragging Nudar onto Bender with himself. Bender counts down, and instead of blowing up at first, he just says "boom!"
After a brief giggle, Bender blows up, killing Nudar and Lars. Leela then sees that Lars has the same tattoo on his butt as Fry.

Back in 2012, Fry is entering his home above Panucci's when Bender comes around destroys it. The initial blast doesn't kill Fry, but Fry's hair is burnt off, and his larynx damaged. His voice changes, and so does his appearance. He sees himself in the mirror and realizes that he is Lars. He rushes to the Applied Cryogenics lab, and gets in the tube with his old girlfriend Michelle, setting it for 990 years. Waking up in 3002, he gets employed at the head museum, as he now has experience feeding sea creatures.

At Lars' funeral, it is explained by Lars in a video will that he waited for the day Leela would arrive. When he saw Hermes' body destroyed at the wedding, he realized that as a time paradox duplicate, he himself was doomed, and would not put Leela through having to deal with his death. Fry says that he was a great guy, and Leela agrees, implying that both Lars and Fry are great. Nibbler and Bubblegum Tate remind everyone that in order for any of this to make sense, someone must travel back in time for one last time, to tattoo Fry's backside in the first place. Bender (noticing his tuxedo from the past) goes back to do this.

Back at Planet Express, Bender comes up from the basement and says that he has done the job. He then says that he met all his own copies down in the basement, and told them to stick around instead of coming up when they logically supposed to. This creates an extreme amount of duplicates. Nibbler fears the worst, and using an as-yet unseen Nibblonian ability, consumes himself. Presumably, the high-density compression of his digestive tract allows him to teleport to an unknown dimension. Suddenly, a huge rift in time and space appears before them. Bender sees this and ends the film with, "Well, we're boned."
The Story
Act I: I've sent you each 300 buckaroos in the form of a Tricky Dick Fun Bill! Knock yourselves out!
Earth forces have won a famous victory over the spider people of Tarantulon 6 and seized plenty of spoils: one trillion dollars in silk and treasure. Richard Nixon's head decides to refund the surplus to the taxpayers, meaning that every citizen of Earth gets three hundred dollars. The crew have already aquired their shiny new $300 bills and now wonder what to do with them. Leela decides to swim with a whale, while Scruffy gets a $300 haircut as his current one has lost its pizzazz. Zoidberg wants to live like a rich man, while Fry decides to blow it all on coffee - a hundred cups of coffee. Zapp Brannigan calls to invite the crew to a special reception and display of the National Silk Surplus. All of New New York is celebrating the newly aquired riches, while Kif and Amy enjoy a ride on a paddle plane Kif rented with his tax rebate. Amy has spent her money on a talking tattoo on her upper right arm. Meanwhile, Professor Farnsworth visits Gene Works, SKG to aquire one pound of stem cells to fight his ageing process, but the effects will be temporary. At the same time, Bender visits Hacking Jack's Fine Smokables in search of the ultimate smoke and feasts his eyes on the Le Grand Cigar. Unfortunately it costs $10.000, and Bender gets a few burglar's tools for $300 instead for later use. Hermes has bought his son Dwight a set of Bamboo Boogie Boots, a kind of powered stilts, which Dwight is not too happy with. Hermes demonstrates them and loses controll, and Dwight tries to save his father but is stuck up the stilts with him, and the two of them roam the city completely out of control. The Professor leaves GeneWorks looking somewhat younger and instantly falls for a young lady dressed in leather, while Zoidberg is looking into diamonds but can't understand what people like in shiny pebbles. Leela has reached the aquarium and is booking a swim with Mushu, the pygmy sperm whale, while Fry is on his second cup of coffee (whale size) at Starfishbucks Coffee . Kif presents Amy with a special gift, a watch that has two sets of hands to show the time whereever Kif and Amy are. As she leans to greet Fry and Leela she sees passing underneath, the paddle plane swerves out of control and the watch falls into the pool of Mushu, who swallows it.

Act II: Come on, Mushu! Barf! Barf like a freshman!
Kif is down in the dumps, but Leela and Scruffy have an idea to recover the watch. Fry, Leela, Kif and Amy visit Elzar's Fine Cuisine (Fry being at cup #31), and Leela sneaks into the kitchen and pulls the plug of Elzar's fresh fish freezer. At the same time, the Professor and his newly aquired love share a table at the same restaurant (she believes he's 25), and Zoidberg is not happy with Paté de Foie Gras and caviar and refuses to pay. Meanwhile, Bender is breaking into Hacking Jack's to steal the Grand Cigar, but is spotted by a surveilance camera and Smitty and URL take up the hunt. The next morning, Elzar sisposes of the now rotten fish into the nearest dumpster, where it is eagerly awaited by Leela, Amy and Kif. Fry is now hanging out at Guadalajara Brown Drip Gourmet Coffee with Bender (now at cup #52) and showing strong signs of caffeine intoxication. Leela is having her meeting with Mushu and has stuffed her swimsuit full of rotten fish to make Mushu first eat it and then barf, freeing Amy's watch. Everything goes as planned, but as Mushu turns out to be rather hungry, Leela ends up minus a swimsuit and has to aquire a makeshift dress made from a warning banner. Zoidberg is trying to play golf like rich people do, but finds it unsatisfactory, partly because the golf clubs can't resist his claws and the golf balls are tasteless. Leela's plan works out and Mushu barfs bigtime, releasing both the watch and Leela's swimsuit. Kif dives into the pool and gets covered all in yuk, but retrieves the watch. The Whale Biologist sends Smitty and Url to arrest him because he has got aquarium property.

Act III: The loot! The loot!! The loot is on fire!!!
The reception at the presentation of the National Silk Surplus is going quite well, all of the high society is there, including Richard Nixon's head, Zapp Brannigan, Mom and her sons, Mayor Poopenmeyer and a lot of other celibrities and important persons. Zoidberg tries to auqire one of the tapistries, but finds it overpriced at $1.000.000.000. He realizes that even with $300 he is still desperately poor and that money brought him no happiness. Fry has arrived at cup #99 and is shaking uncontrollably, and Bender deems the time has come for the lighting of the Grand Cigar. Amy is sad because Kif is in jail, and Scruffy is trying to comfort her. Meanwhile, in Commander Riker's Island Jail, Kif is told that he is not imprisoned for taking the watch but for being covered in ambergris, a precious substance found in the digestive tract of the sperm whale and used to make perfume. As he is covered in the stuff, Kif sheds his skin and rushes to join the reception. He even brings Amy a flagon full of ambergris, which she embraces at once. The Professor's stem cells lose their youthesizing power, and he reverts to an old man. He finds that his love has used her tax rebate to enhance her looks a bit too, as she is "fat like the queen of sea cows" (Farnsworths words). Anyway, the two of them continue smooching, as they now now the other's true looks. Hermes and Dwight, still on the Bamboo Boogie Boots, crash the reception, and in the process the Grand Cigar sets fire to the precious silks. Everyone is in mortal danger, but Fry doesn't notice as all he can think about is coffee - cup #100 has been reached, and through the caffeine shock he glides into a strange condition where he glows in a golden light, time seems to have slowed down a great deal and he is able to move extremely fast. He manages to save everyone at the reception and extinguish the fire, but no one notices this as they have only seen a kind of mysterious orange blur. Outside, Zoidberg has joined a few hobos and found out how money could make him happy: by buying a meal for his new friends. Everyone joins them, and Hermes gives the penny left from the purchase of the Boogie Boots to Dwight, who decides to invest it in five shares of Amazon.com. Richard Nixon's head is angry because the surplus has burned away, but everyone else is happy because the tax rebate supplied them with a few mildly-interesting stories at least. At the very end, Bender is finally seized by Url and Smitty and beaten up.

Additional Info
Trivia
*The idea for this episode came from George W. Bush announcing that he would give all Americans a $300 tax refund. However, one week later the terrorist attacks of 9/11 happened. The story was forgotten by most, except the Futurama staff who wrote this episode.
*As Fry drinks more and more coffee the effects of the caffeine make him more and more agitated until the 100th, when he relaxes into a calm Zen-like state, albeit moving at several hundred times normal speed. There are several possible science-fiction inspirations for this scene:
**Frank Herbert's novel Dune, where Paul-Muad'Dib consumes ever greater quantities of Spice until he finally takes the water of life and time and space comes together. In the TV series of the same name we even see the same glowing light effects and distortions of time and space.
**The classic sci-fi story The New Accelerator by H.G.Wells, the accelerator being a formula allowing the user to stretch minutes into hours of personal time perception.
**The original-series Star Trek episode Wink of an Eye.
**The 2002 film Clockstoppers, which in turn was based on The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything.
**The hummingbird he sees is particularly reminscent to a time-slowing scene in Star Trek: Insurrection.
*Nixon's line "The Loot, the loot, the loot is on fire!" was a parody of the 1985 dance hit "The Roof is on Fire" by Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three. The song's chorus includes the frequently referenced line, "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire."
*The labname and the sign reading Geneworks S.K.G. are a parody of the famous movie company Dreamworks.
*Zapp Brannigan's attack on Tarantulon 6 is taken from Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers and the subsequent film.
*Nixon's consultation of Voodoo economists is a reference to Reagan-era fiscal policy derided by critics as Voodoo Economics.
*The scene in which Bender steals the cigar is based on Mission Impossible.
*Roseanne appears/guest stars as a holographic encyclopedia.
*At one point in the episode, Professor Farnsworth takes his leave, saying, "... gotta go, fight club."

First Amalgamated Church
clear

As a part of the armed forces, they collect weapons to give to the defenceless so they can be safe on Xmas Eve.

Plot outline
spoiler

The film is introduced with a cold start, with Hermes introducing everyone by their job title and full name. Apparently, Hermes is now a grade 34 bureaucrat. But as he introduces Farnsworth, Farnsworth tells the crew that they are all fired, because of the delivery network shot them down two years ago. However, the phone rings, and he is soon given the information that the people who cancelled their license were them themselves fired for incompetence. And also that some of them died and were ground into a fine powder, marked as Torgo's Executive Powder. They throw a party, and as Hermes shows his moves under a sabre in limbo, his head is cut off, and his body runs wild like a chicken and gets the entire Planet Express Ship to crash onto him.

The title sequence starts, with altered music, and introductions of each character, but with the same familiar events in the sequence. At the Head Museum, Hermes is put in a jar by Lars, the jar feeder at the Head Museum, who is flirting with Leela. When LaBarbara and Dwight enter to find Hermes in a jar and that his body won't be fixed until at least a week, LaBarbara goes out to find a new handsome husband. Farnsworth enters to tell the crew that they have a delivery to the Nude Beach Planet.

At the Nude Beach Planet, Leela finds out Fry has a tattoo of Bender on his ass, which Fry did not know he had either. Later, Bender is asked by Nudar and his gang to sign up for a petition and to give them his email address. They manages to get most of Planet Express crew to sign up.

Back on Earth, Leela is dealing with a lot of spam, but an email about an animal going extinct unless it gets her bank account number opens her eye. Similar Amy is also getting spammed, and manages to order some Anti-Depressant pills. Bender is keen on the fact that he can Get Rich Watching Porn, but ignores when his system tells him to perform a virus scan. He is immediately infected with the iObey virus. Dr. Zoidberg is the victim of a Nigeria scam.

When Farnsworth finds out about the scams (with his illegal keylogging software), he wishes to teach the crew how to spot scams on the Internet. But he himself becomes a victim. He believes that he won the Spanish National Lottery for a grand prize of 400 dollars. He signs the form on the site, and the doorbell rings. When he opens, Nudar and his gang informs him that they now own the company.

Bender, being infected with the obedience virus welcomes the new masters. And soon Planet Express is turned into a scam house. Later, Lars returns and asks Leela out. The scammers are apparently a species who enjoy information, and Fry apparently has a lot of it, or rather a very important piece of information. Which is revealed to be the tattoo of Bender on his ass. Then, they zoom in on it to see if there is any information in it, and in Bender's eye on the tattoo is a binary code. Nudar tells Bender to read it aloud or Scruffy dies. As he finishes it, the Galaxy Entity hears it, and sends back a time sphere.

As they debate what they can do with the time sphere, Nibbler appears to warn them about the consequences by using it. And after an unsuccessful attack by the Nibblonians' kitten-class ships, Nudar wants to take it for a ride. But Farnsworth objects, because it would create a paradox, but Nibbler informs that it is a Paradox Correcting Time Code, which means everything will work out all right. Nudar travels back to yesterday, where he meets himself, and apparently made out with himself. But suddenly the Smelloscope falls upon the new duplicate of Nudar and kills him, with Farnsworth's words: "Paradox resolved."

A problem occurs with their plans to steal all things of value in Earth's history. Because the time sphere can only get them back to the past, not forward into the future. Bender informs them that he can travel back in time, steal the stuff, then hang out in the basement of the building, and come up after a few centuries or more. And so his stealing of Earth's past values begins. And in 2206, where the Nobel Peace Price is given to the East and West Coast Rappers, Bender is revealed to be the alien spaceships that destroyed the original New York (as seen in the pilot episode).

Meanwhile, Hermes' wife LaBarbara has left him for Barbados Slim. Lars informs him that since the scammers bought the hospital, his body won't be fixed for a while, maybe years.

Farnsworth wants to sell off his doomsday devices in order to make money, but he won't sell his favorite, the Sphere (very similar to the one in Time Keeps on Slippin'), which he handcuffs around his wrist. The scammers order Bender to get it, using the old method of "Switcheroo". Bender decides to saw off the professor's hand. When Hermes sees how well it worked when Zoidberg sewed the professor's hand back on, he asks if he could do the same for him and his body. Hermes asks Bender to go back in time and get his body. But as fate would have it, Zoidberg puts back on backwards.

Meanwhile, the professor and the Globetrotters are discussing if paradox-free time travel is possible, and Sweet Clyde's "razamatazz" calculus ensures it is. The reason is due to the doomsfield in the equation, which means that a duplicate created from a time travel is always doomed; it is only a matter of time.

Lars and Leela goes out on a date, and Bender has finally stolen all the stuff the scammers wanted. However, now that the scammers are rich, they suddenly care if the universe gets destroyed. They intend to delete the code Bender and vaporise Fry, but Fry escapes. Using a mirror, he reads the code off of his tattoo. He travels back to January 1, 2000, 12:30 AM. Bender is ordered to travel back a few moments before he arrives and terminate him (hence the "cool" sunglasses he wears, mimicking "The Terminator"). Bender arrives at 12:28 a.m., but after drinking the beer Fry left before he was frozen, Bender (for the first time) needs to go to the bathroom. So he goes back 19 seconds in time and asks the former Bender to wait for Fry to come while he goes to bathroom.

Before Fry arrives, another copy of Bender arrives in a suit and tattoos Fry's backside (which is explained later in the film). Fry arrives, and Bender threatens to kill him, but when Fry explains he is his friend, Bender goes into Automatic Destruct Sequence due to an internal error in programming. Before he could explode, Fry kicks Bender into the freezer and sets it for 1 million years.

The Bender in the bathroom leaves, and spots Fry leaving for the elevator. He tries to catch up, but is too slow. He begins his hunt for Fry, and continuously fails in finding him. After 12 years, he finally spots Fry on the docks of New York City.

Bender spots Fry in the window above the restaurant, and shoots the building with his gun. It collapses, and he cries over killing his best friend. He walks up from the basement in the Planet Express hangar, where he explains his mission is accomplished to the scammers. The scammers insert a head cleaning tape into his mouth, and the virus, the time code and 50 terabytes of porn is deleted.

In Central Park, the crew holds a memorial for Fry. And Bender explains it was he who killed him. But suddenly Fry appears once more, and explains that at 1:00 AM, January 1, 2000, he realized that he had no money from that era.

Fry then realizes that his frozen self has a lot of old money, but since his pants is pulled down due to the tattooing of his buttocks, he touches his own butt instead of his wallet. He is terrified, and slips on the chair he originally fell from and into the tube with his time-clone. When originally frozen Fry walks out of the tube on December 31, 2999. The other Fry turns it to 7.95 years and freezes himself again. He explains that he just came back to the park from the Cryogenics Lab right now. Farnsworth explains to Bender, that the Fry he killed was doomed anyway.

Fry learns that his other time-clone lived for 12 years before Bender killed him, so Fry wonders what his life was like, and while none of the crew members got to know, the narrator declares that "You, the lucky viewers do!" Fry returns to Panucci's, but instead of asking for food, he asks if he can rent the storage room upstairs. Mr. Panucci gives his permission and Fry begins living there. While watching television, Fry soon discovers that his true calling is helping a purple narwhal named Leeloo.

Back in the past, Fry is getting along with narwhal, Leeloo. He teaches it to eat and carries a friendly relationship with it.

When Lars discovers this, he calls off the wedding and dumps Leela.

Meanwhile, Fry captures Leeloo back, and has her inserted into a tank on the ship. Leeloo seems forelorn and distraught and won't eat or play with Fry. At first, Fry thinks that another narwhal outside the ship (this one with an orange-colored skin) is upsetting her.

In the future again, Nixon reveals that he is about to close a deal to buy back Earth. Unfortunately, he fell for another obvious scam, and Earth looses its final bit of money. The populus is forced to evacuate the planet. Ships at South Street Spaceport carry people to different planets in the solar system. The Planet Express Ship leaves for Neptune.

Robot Santa reminds them that he still have elves to build weapons, so he gets together with the Kawanzaa-bot and the Chanukah Zombie. Soon their weapons are built, and they are ready to attack, being lead by Zapp Brannigan, whose plan is to send in a children brigade first to buy them off a few seconds. As they approach Earth, one of the Death Stars shoots down the Nimbus. Leela takes control, but soon realizes that it is too difficult to control an entire fleet of ships.

They fire off the device and destroys the scammers' ship. Bender explains that after he was off the virus, he pulled the old "Switcheroo" again, and got the device for himself.

Meanwhile, Fry in 2012 realizes that Leeloo is in love with the male narwhal, and decides to set her free, in his words; "I want what makes you happy, not what makes me happy."

At the New Year's eve celebration, Lars comes and gives Hermes' his body back. Fry tells Leela to meet him at Applied Cryogenics, and he also invites Lars. But as Lars is trying to explain to Fry why he and Leela simply cannot be together, Nudar enters, explaining that he was wearing a doomproof suit. He says he wants the time code, but Fry stresses that Nibbler removed it from him. But Nudar says that Lars has it.

During the fire, Fry's hair is burnt off, and his larynx damaged.

When he saw Hermes' body destroyed at the wedding, he realizes that as a time paradox duplicate, he himself was doomed, and would not put Leela through that. Fry says that he was a great guy, and Leela agrees, now knowing that Lars was a time-clone of Fry. Nibbler and Bubblegum Tate remind everyone that in order for any of this to make sense, someone must travel back in time for one last time, to tattoo Fry's backside in the first place. Bender (noticing his tuxedo) goes back to do this, explaining his appearance earlier in the film.

Back at Planet Express, Bender comes up from the basement and says that he has done the job. He then says that he met all his own copies down in the basement, and told them to stick around instead of coming up when they logically supposed to. This creates an extreme amount of duplicates. Nibbler fears the worst, and thus escapes out of the universe. Suddenly, a huge riff in time and space appears before them. Bender sees this and ends the film with, "Well, we're boned."
Leeloo is a narwhal which Philip J. Fry is very fond of as he works with her from 2003 to 2010. He tries to catch her during 2010 to 2012, but when he does, he ends up setting her free. Leeloo is most obviously an animal representation of Leela, which is also apparent from the name similarities.

Biography
In 2003, Leeloo winds up in Atlanta city, but is soon taken to New York.

Trivia
* The similarities/connection between Leela and Leeloo are quite many and obvious.
** Obviously their names.
** It is noted by Fry that he "likes things that have one thing instead of two", but in reality, narwhals only have one horn.
** As many times as possible, when there is a fade from Leeloo to Leela, the horn is placed where Leela's eye is in the following scene.
** Notably, Fry says a lot of the same things to Leeloo as he does to Leela.
Nudar is the leader of the alien nudist scammers (thus the villains) in Bender's Big Score.

Biography
spoiler
While little is known about his past, he and his two companions, have apparently been scamming people for a long time. But when the Planet Express crew arrives at their planet, they cease the chance. And soon they have scammed all of their money out of them, gaining control of their firm. It is then they discover the time sphere, and use it to travel back in time to steal valuables from Earth.

With the money gained from the valuables, they buy the planet. And thus they build a fleet of remote control solid gold Death Stars. But the Earthlings strike back, and soon all is lost, and their final triumph card, the doomsday device is also out of their hands, and destroys them. Except Nudar, who was wearing a doomproof shirt at the time. But he is killed as he, together with Lars Fillmore, are the victims of Bender's Auto Destruct Sequence.

Additional Information
Trivia
* He is David X. Cohen's favourite character.
* It is interesting to note how well educated Nudar is in Earth's history, and thus know everything of value in Earth's history. Although he at no point makes it clear that he means Earth's or the universe's valuables.
}}

Biography
Zapp Brannigan is a 25-Star General in the Democratic Order of Planets, captain of his flagship the Nimbus and head of the DOOP Army. Although he claims to be a strategic genius, he is actually an imbecile and a coward whose plans could have easily been conjured up by a child. Zapp is well respected throughout the universe, appearing as a Miss Universe Judge and often defending Earth from attacks. Most battles are lost with Zapp in charge however sometimes the army is lucky. Zapp doesn't care about men's lives and even sends wave after wave of his own men to die in battle. He also suffers from a learning disorder that he calls sexlexia, which is a disturbingly erotic disorder. Also the central law of DOOP, Brannigan's Law, is named after him.

He is hardly ever seen without his second in command, Kif Kroker. Zapp and Kif have a tough time working together and Zapp treats Kif like a slave making his job the second most humiliating job there is. Some of the jobs Zapp makes Kif do are shaving his armpit whilst he was bathing. Even though he treats Kif badly he always gives advice, usually bad advice, to Kif whenever he needs it and also calls him is most best and loyal friend. He was angered when Leela became the mother of Kif's children.

He repeatedly attempts to seduce Leela whom he slept with on their first meeting. After that fateful night Leela ended the relationship and chose saving Nibbler over getting back with Zapp and being rescued. Zapp keeps trying to get together with Leela and sometimes even mentioned what happened between them in court but she invariably turns him away sometimes even pretending that she has a boyfriend. At the battle of Spheron 1 Zapp was attracted to new male recruit Lee Lemon and feared he might be gay and was relieved to find out that it was actually Leela.

Only once was Zapp's incompitance was shown when he blew up the new headquaters with the Nimbus' hyperdeath laser. This led to him and Kif being banned from the DOOP. The two were employed by The Professor the work at Planet Express which led to Zapp convincing Bender and Fry to munity against Leela. Zapp escaped and was given back his title as General even though he tried to pilot the Planet Express Ship into the Neutral President's home.
Commendations and Accomplishments
*Defeated an army of Killbots by sacrificing his troops until the bots' pre-set "Kill limit" was reached
*Rented self a medal after leading a successful assault on the Spiderian home world Tarantulon 6.
*Led DOOP to victory over the peaceful Ball-People of planet Spheron 1
*Single-handedly defeated the Retiree People of the Assisted Living Nebula
*Annihalated the Pacifists of the Gandhi Nebula
*Conducted a triumphant carpet bombing on Eden 7
*Author of "Zapp Brannigan's Big Book of War", which is likely a plagiarized version of Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

Family
*Zapp has at least three children, born to Holo-Shed characters who became real. (4ACV01)
*He may also have Amazonian children. (3ACV01)
*Was "host" to a dozen or so Da Nangian spawn. The children were presumably eaten by Zoidberg. (US#004)

Additional Info
Trivia
*Billy West has stated that Zapp Brannigan is how he envisions Captain Kirk playing William Shatner.
*In the commentary for "When Aliens Attack" it is speculated that Zapp got promoted from Captain to 25-star general sometime since we last saw him. However, it is common for the person in command of a ship to be called "Captain" regardless of their actual rank.
*It is possible that Zapp is actually a parody of Zaphod Beeblebrox from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy science fiction comedy media franchise.
*He was going to be voiced by phil hartman

Quotes
*Zapp: Leela so its you I've been attracted to. Oh God I've never been so happy to be beaten up by a woman.
*Zapp: Sorry Mr. President, Kif raise him about nipple high.
*Zapp: My plan is so simple even a child could have thought it up.
*Zapp: Brannigan's law is like Brannigan's love: hard and fast.

Catchphrase
Zapp occasionally pronounces the name of food wrong and pronounces it the way it is spelt including:
*Champagne - Champpaggin
*Guacamole - Guaca mole
