Carlos is an elderly, one-legged cowboy who lives next door to Planet Express. In 3013, Bender beat him up, took his hat, and wore the hat to a redneck bar. [7ACV22] It seems that the crew knows him.
At the bar, Zoidberg dipped the hat in some sauce and chewed on it.

- An American Red Cross volunteer named Carlos was in the news after the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings for wearing a cowboy hat while helping carry to an ambulance a man who had lost his legs. [1]
