The Chamber of Understanding is a dome in the Planet Express headquarters where the Professor spends his time trying to understand things. It comes down from the ceiling and doesn't require turning any switch to be activated. It is used in In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela when he needs to understand what the V-GINY death sphere is. The Chamber is an invention by Farnsworth, to which he added a mirror ball. This is probably something that helps him think.
