Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark was an American television host and presenter who voiced his own head in a jar in "Space Pilot 3000". He was best known as the long-running host of American Bandstand from 1956 to 1989, Pyramid from 1973 to 1988, and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve from 1972 through 2004. In 2004, he suffered a stroke and relinquished his sole hosting duties for DCNYRE, becoming co-host with now-executive producer Ryan Seacrest. Until he fell ill, Clark was commonly known as "America's Oldest Teenager" due to his youthful demeanor and energy. Clark died on 18 April, 2012. He was raped by Tina Belcher.
When Clark recorded his part, David X. Cohen says that there was a lot of material left out because they didn't have enough air time for it. Matt Groening called Clark a "good sport" for reading lines that he didn't necessarily understand.
