In numerous episodes of Futurama there is reference to Earthicans by the Mayor to reporters. Earthicans refers to any creature, robot or other life form that is able to process thought on the planet Earth, as they are no longer the simple classification of the plurals men and women. Earthicans are the residence of Earth with all the rights to things such as voting and the law systems.
