Episode

The forward time machine is a time machine invented by Professor Farnsworth. It is able to go forwards in time, but is unable to travel backwards. The Professor, along with Fry and Bender were originally supposed to test drive it by going forward one minute into the future. However, they accidentally ended up going forward 6,990 years. They are forced to use the machine to keep on going forward to find a backwards time machine, but ultimately end up at the end of all life.

The three of them find out that time is in a loop: when the universe ends, the Big Bang occurs and an identical universe is created. They use the machine to travel forward to the year 3010, but miss it. Finally, after time traveling the entire length of the universe's existence again, the machine makes it "back" to 3010.

Quotes

    Farnsworth: Behold, a time-traveling machine!
Bender: Time?! I can't go back there!
Farnsworth: Ah, but this machine only goes forward in time, so you won't be able to change history or do something disgusting like sleep with your own grandmother.
Fry: I wouldn't wanna do that again.
