You must nominate an article before creating the feature. Seriously.
Guidelines for Featured Articles
Featured articles should meet the following criteria:
- Must have at least one image.
- Must be at least 500 words.
- This rule may be ignored if the article is on something minor and everything known is described.
- The article should not yet be on the Featured Articles pages.
- The article should not still be on the "What's new?" section of the Main Page. Nominations of these pages will be accepted but they won't actually be featured until they leave this listing.
- The article should not be marked with one of the templates in Category:Wiki Maintenance.
- Probably other stuff, too
Nominations
The nominations section is for articles that you feel are ready to be featured. If it still needs work, add it to Potential Candidates.
Recasting ploy will be the featured article for fortnight 23. Fortnight 24 runs from the 16th to the 29th of November. Please cast your vote and if you've found a hidden gem or two, add some new articles to the currently shallow nomination pool for a possible feature. - Quolnok 14:55, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
