Fortnight 1, 2014: Floatwell

Floatwell.png

The Floatwell was a ship that sank in a horrible space storm, in 3013, in the treacherous gases of the Sargaseous Sea. [7ACV21] Several hundred people died. Bender's stolen shiny metal ass was on board, having boarded at South Street Spaceport, and the crew went to the sunken ship to recover it.

While they were there, Bender spun the ship's wheel as if it were a wheel of fortune, breaking the skeleton of the late captain. (more...)

Fortnight 2, 2014: Tex 1138's

Tex 1138's.png

Tex 1138's is a redneck bar in New New York. The bartender is a Neptunian. In 3013, the crew went there after Bender stole a cowboy's hat. [7ACV22]

It has a stage for line dancing, which was used by the whole crew, and has a mechanical buggalo, which was ridden by Bender, Fry, the professor, Hermes, and Leela. Whoever manages to ride the buggalo for the longest gets a free steak dinner. It also has a command centre, located somewhere in Texas. When the crew rode, there was a cowboy's skeleton on the chandelier. During Leela's ride, the buggalo malfunctioned, and she was not able to let go, because, due to her squidification, her hand was stuck to the saddle, so the buggalo had to be shot. She rode for 48.3 seconds, winning the prize. (more...)

Fortnight 3, 2014: Bean salesman

Bean salesman.png

The bean salesman is a man who, in 3013, bought the Planet Express ship from Fry at a spacecraft market, in exchange for two giant beans, which he said were magic. [7ACV22] Fry needed money because Leela had to get surgery for her squidification, and the salesman told him that his wife had had the same condition, and that she was cured by the beans.

Later that day, the beans grew a beanstalk that went up to the clouds. (more...)

Fortnight 4, 2014: Momsanto

Momsanto.png

Momsanto is Mom's floating genetic-engineering facility. It floats because if it were on the surface its experiments would be illegal.

In 3013, Leela climbed a beanstalk in front of Planet Express, which ended up collapsing under its own weight, and she discovered the facility. [7ACV22] Mom's sons captured her, and she was locked in a tower, where she gave a D.N.A. sample. After being rescued by Fry and Bender, she attempted to stop Mom by crashing the facility into New New York, but was not successful. (more...)

Fortnight 5, 2014: Adam West's head

Manbat and Robin.png

In the 20th and 21st centuries, Adam West was an actor best known for his portrayal of the superhero Batman. By 3013, he had been turned into a head in a jar on the body of a giant bat, and had been trapped in Mom's flying castle, where Mom conducts genetic experiments.

In 3013, Fry and Bender encountered the heads of West and Burt Ward while on their way to rescue Leela from the tower where she was being kept, and Bender told them to go about their business. [7ACV22] (more...)

Fortnight 6, 2014: Digby

Digby.png

Digby is Nibbler's personal chauffeur. On the night of 31 December 1999, he landed Nibbler on the rooftop of Applied Cryogenics, in order for Nibbler to knock Fry into the freezer tube. [7ACV23] They then went drinking at O'Grady's Pub, but Digby accidentally dropped the ship's keys in a gutter, so they had to take a cab back to their base on Vergon 6, where Digby's boss gave him a new ship. Digby then began going planet to planet looking for the old one.

In 3013, he was still looking. By using the old ship's key fob, he had constantly been emitting a deafening melody, which had destroyed a planet and was causing seisms on Earth. A musical response to the melody prompted him to land on Mount Shushmore, where he found Nibbler and the rest of the crew, as well as Nixon and Agnew. Fry helped him retrieve the old ship, and he then flew away in it. (more...)
