"Meanwhile"[1] is the one hundred and fortieth episode of Futurama, the twenty-sixth and last of the seventh production season and the thirteenth and last of the tenth broadcast season. It will also serve as the last episode of Futurama.[2]

The episode will be the second part of a two-part episode that has a single plot spanning over two episodes. It will include a button that throws you ten seconds back in time, Zoidberg finding an alien that loves him because she can't smell him, and devastating consequences.

Production

In 2013, the episode was revealed to be the potential series finale, the last episode of Season 7, and the second part of the Season 7B two-parter.

On 22 April, it was announced that Futurama had not been renewed for an eight season, making this the series final.
