The Reanimator is a device created by Farnsworth that works similarly to an upright toaster which instantly reincarnates a recently deceased person, with their memories intact, using X-rays, DNA samples and scrapings of the inside of one's tennis shoes. Originally it could only work for Fry, then Bender was added, and later Leela. When cleaning Mom's office, Igner found the Reanimator and played with its buttons until malfunctioned then fell through a hole and smashed to peices.
