Ricardo is a friend or acquaintance of the Professor. They have spoken on the phone on at least one occasion regarding the Professor's perfect scale model of the universe's largest bottle (in which he placed a tiny spaceship to keep it from being boring) -- that was eventually destroyed by Zoidberg -- as seen in the episode "The 30% Iron Chef". All that is known of Ricardo is that he or she speaks Spanish.
