Sally is an orphan at Cookieville Minimum-Security Orphanarium. She is noticeable for her obvious defection with an ear on her forehead. Something the other orphans often teased her with. In addition to the extra ear, she also claims to have a tail. These defects, may suggest Sally being a sewer mutant
When Turanga Leela and Adlai Atkins were looking to adopt one of the children, Leela want Sally, because she could sympathise with Sally's position among the other orphans - a position she was in herself during her time at the orphanarium. Adlai, however, was not entirely keen on the idea, but suggested an operation to make her acceptable. Leela, however, was not at all pleased with this proposal, and gave Adlai an ultimatum. As a result of this, Leela return to her regular Cyclops look.
