Just wondering where it is said that the 21st century started on January 1, 2001 and ended on December 31, 2100. Because according to, well, the real world, the 21st century started on January 1, 2000 and ended on December 31, 2099. The show also takes place in the 31st century, which started on January 1, 3000 (since Fry was frozen December 31, 1999 and woke 1,000 years later, just before (or on) January 1, 3000). According to the real world, the 21st century began once the 20th century (and 2nd millennium) had been entirely completed i.e. after 31st December 2000.

Just wondering where it is said that the 21st century started on January 1, 2001 and ended on December 31, 2100. Because according to, well, the real world, the 21st century started on January 1, 2000 and ended on December 31, 2099.
