== No Snu-Snu? ==
No Snu-Snu? I could have sworn we had it under the 'S' section. I would put it in, but I wouldn't know how to phrase it. Anyone? Anyone? [[User:Chris of the Futurama2|Chris of the Futurama2]] 01:13, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 03:13, 14 February 2009

I have two issues with this article. First of all, I think it would fit better in an article called "Terminology" rather than Coinage. Additionally, I am quite sure it is spelt "Aks" and not "Axe". Axe is something different. True though, that "Aks" is homophone with "Axe". --SvipTalk 04:29, 8 May 2008 (PDT)

Well, I named it "Coinage" because they were words/phrases that were coined by the creators. It was sort of a pun or whatever. But if we wanna move it, go for it. Though I personally don't like "Terminology" either... Perhaps "Y3K Colloquialisms" ... or something... vocabulary? Glossary? I don't know... --Buddy 01:01, 4 August 2008 (CEST)

Expansion tag

Do we really need that? I mean, it's getting larger all the time. And it'll always have room for more. --Buddy 00:59, 4 August 2008 (CEST)

I think it is appropriate to remove. --SvipTalk 02:00, 4 August 2008 (CEST)

Entry: Ambergris

Believe it or not, people actually do (or did) use a substance from the digestive tract of sperm whales as an ingredient for fragrances in the real world! (See e.g. Wikipedia's entry on ambergris ) So I guess "ambergris" shouldn't be on a list of words coined by the creators of the series. --Prof. Heizer 14:22, 7 September 2008 (BST)

That's a valid point, I just removed that section. --SvipTalk 14:45, 7 September 2008 (BST)
I knew it was a thing; who said I didn't?! I don't think they use it anymore, though. PETA and whatnot. If that link doesn't lead to an article, it should. Someone get on that. --Buddy 23:47, 7 September 2008 (BST)
More like AETH. --SvipTalk 23:54, 7 September 2008 (BST)
Is that a thing? MEAT is from the Problem with Popplers, but I can find no reference on that page. Alas! --Buddy 23:57, 7 September 2008 (BST)
Never seen A Head in the Polls? --SvipTalk 23:59, 7 September 2008 (BST)
Of course I have! It was a written joke, no? If it's dialogue, I can remember better. But yes, now I recall it. --Buddy 01:43, 8 September 2008 (BST)

Sploops! ?

Would sploops count as a word/phrase to be put into here? It was said many times by Amy after she did something clumsy. Chris of the Futurama 00:04, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Amy uses several made up words. Dunno how many the writers came up with themselves. --SvipTalk 00:09, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah... Chris of the Futurama 00:10, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Most of Amy's expressions are one-offs, and are never heard more than once. I think "Spluh" might be used a couple times, but several of the words in the list are only used once. If it's notable enough (or has entered nerd vernacular) it could/should be included. --Buddy 04:16, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
The thing is, how are they going to be spelled? :S Chris of the Futurama 04:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Fonetiklee. --Buddy 13:35, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Off the top of my head, i remember: guh, buh, spluh, and sploops. Chris of the Futurama 19:27, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
This just in: [1] helped me to find some of Amy's lingo:

G'uh, B'uh, Zidiot, Fl'uh, Smeesh, Spl'uh, Gu'ck, K'huh, Pukeatronic!, Jazzercising, Sploops!, Globviously. Chris of the Futurama 15:53, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Not so much "Jazzercising" that's a real thing. - Quolnok 00:57, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
