I just saw an episode of the Simpsons where bart got famous on Krusty's show ("The 'I-didn't-do-it' kid"). Then he has a flash-forward and there's a celebrity's head in a jar. I was wondering several things: If someone could find a screenshot of this for addition to the Simpsons Connections page, and if someone could date this episode, so we can see if it predates Futurama. If it does, it could be another instance of Matt Groening having a consistent vision of the future (like the tube-transit system seen in one episode). Although, in the Bobo the bear episode, Burns is shown in the far future as a head in a jar with robotic legs. But anyway... --Buddy 21:55, 29 August 2008 (BST)

that episode that you are talking about is Bart Gets Famous. it aired on February 3, 1994 so it definitely predates futurama. i cannot get a screenshot of it though i know a friend who has it on dvd and maybe he can get it. the episode with robot burns is Rosebud and the only picture of it i can get is a model. [1]. again i might be able to get my friends dvd as they are from the same season.--My leg feels funny! 22:21, 29 August 2008 (BST)

Well, Rich Moore and Matt Groening were talking about making a show, which eventually became Futurama, in the early seasons of the Simpsons (Rich worked there Seasons 1-4). It may have been an idea they gave birth to. Or it was another writer's idea. Who knows. -Mini-Me 18:33, 30 August 2008 (BST)

Body's death?[edit]

I don't know if everyone will find this proposition useful. But maybe a real character should have (in its bio) its body's death noted. For example, when De Gaulle, Lincoln, etc.. died the head-in-a-jar technology didn't exist. So their heads have been resurrected in some strange way.

What do you think about it?
