Name Paradox

Should it be mentioned that the name Lars Fillmore is itself an ontological paradox with no real origin? Fry only named himself Lars after the explosion at Pannuci's because he realised that they were the same, and thus creating the paradox. 90.195.202.36 13:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

So is the time code, even though it works, how to came to be on his butt in the first place is questionable. . 175.139.10.253 17:00, 12 July 2013 (CEST)

Seperation

Personally, I think Lars should be treated as a separate person, so reference to Fry should be removed, or at least, reference which equate them (other than family, since that can't be helped). But like, Lars was never a delivery boy. Fry was. That sort of thing. Anyone disagree? --Buddy 20:41, 8 December 2007 (PST)

The time-duplicate of Fry is the seperate person, he took regular Fry's job at Panucci's until begining work with Leeloo. - Quolnok 22:07, 8 December 2007 (PST)
Dah! I forgot about that! *shambles away, head hung in shame* --Buddy 22:09, 8 December 2007 (PST)
You're right on Lars deserving his own page. Lars was Fry, but he isn't Fry, nor is Fry Lars. --Frida Waterfall 9:23, 22 August 2008 (PST)

Lars' Age

I need to get this straight. Lars was created on January 1st, 2000. He lived for twelve full years until 2012. Then, in 2012, he lived out only part of the year, then lived out the rest of that year in 3002, assuming that the cryogenic tube was set to exactly 990 years. Then, he managed to live from 3003 to January 1st, 3008 (the anniversary when he returned to the 21st century), which would be five years. So, if you count up the twelve years in the 21st century, the one year split between the 21st and the 31st, and the five years he lived in the 31st century, he should be almost exactly 18 years older than Fry, not 17 as stated in the article, correct? --Frida Waterfall 9:23, 22 August 2008 (PST)

Seems like a valid point. Who did the original maths? Oh, wait, I think it's because he's just shy of the 18th year, but still... - Quolnok 07:29, 23 August 2008 (BST)
I made the original mathematics. I admit, I did not do them throughout, but 17 or 18, I cannot say I was off by much. --SvipTalk 11:28, 23 August 2008 (BST)
Look, I'm going to change his age to 51. Fry was 33 at the time of "Bender's Big Score". Shy of 18th year or not, Lars has passed the point where he would have turned 51.

Something I might want to add: You're forgetting the fact that Fry is also living in the future from 3000-3008 and ageing, so you can't simply say that Lars is 18 years older.

Redirect

I think we should redirect Lars to Lars Fillmore. Chris of the Futurama 22:15, 2 September 2008 (BST)

Being as his name is never said aloud, I don't see why not. People might enter "Lars", not knowing his last name (it's only ever seen on the wedding invite, right?). --Buddy 23:40, 7 September 2008 (BST)
Actually it is, when Zapp asks what his name is. He says his full name. But I still agree, since I cannot find anyone else named Lars on the show. --SvipTalk 23:49, 7 September 2008 (BST)
What I like is that "Fillmore" phonetically contains "Phil". Kind of a nice little allusion to his true identity. --Buddy 23:54, 7 September 2008 (BST)

The full name "Lars Fillmore" is on his business card when Leela is getting ready for her date. She shows it to Fry. That is the first time we see his last name.

Rebellion

During the 4 days between the wedding and his death, Lars joined the rebellion against the scammers (after presumably being banished to outer space with the rest of the residents of Earth). Maybe this should be mentioned somewhere. Cy3 22:47, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, probably. I did always wonder how he got his own ship, though... --Buddy 16:38, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Well, it had been a few years since arriving in the 31st century. It was probably his "car". - Quolnok 09:53, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Why Fry Going Back In The First Place Would have Made a Time Duplicate

It should be noted that the only reason Lars was created was that Fry travelling back in time for some pizza caused him to stall the other fry for a minute, causing him not to see the pizza being thrown away, causing him not to go to the Cryogenics Lab. -- the preceding unsigned comment was written by 175.139.10.253.
