"Genetically impossible" for Fry to be his own grandfather?

"Whichever interpretation of the 'changing the past' time travel paradox we use, it is genetically impossible for Fry to be his own grandfather (Fry contributes 50% of his father's genetic material, 50% of which then becomes Fry's own genetic code. This would lead to feedback loop in which, over 'repetitions' of the timeline, Fry and his father become very close to 100% related, instead of 50%)."

I disagree. Anyone else with me? Here's a rough, rough diagram of how it could work (also read up on the self-consistency principle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novikov_self-consistency_principle):

This is a possible family tree, with a VERY simplified representation of the genes each person could have inherited. In this model, there are only two genes represented, each with three different genotypes: the first gene can be any one of (A, a, x) and the second can be any one of (B, b, y). Each child on the chart has inherited the paternal genotype for the first gene and the maternal genotype for the second gene.

If you see a flaw, please point it out, I would appreciate it a lot. Likewise if anything needs clarification.

As for why this means Fry lacks the delta brain wave? Let's just attribute that to Story Magic.

I don't get it. What was so funny about the name Enos? Cheddar Cheesia 19:10, 14 January 2007 (PST)

Nothing, there's no dirty joke there, stop asking. Especially seeing as I'm sure you already knew all the answers to the questions you asked. - Quolnok 18:41, 31 January 2008 (PST)

Does anyone know what image was playing on the Radiovision set? Interesting trivia if anyone knows... Xan42 04:06, 21 May 2007 (PDT)

Not I... Not... I. But it would be good trivia, they even forgot on the commentary- Quolnok 18:41, 31 January 2008 (PST)

I made a comment that seems to have been deleted. I asked how gorey Enos' death was?

Nope, it was asked + answered here - Quolnok 18:41, 31 January 2008 (PST)
