Canon status
Just a reminder that this is not a Futurama episode and therefore not canon. Injuries sustained, fatal or otherwise, do not count. Pannucci's stayed in Old New York and was eventually dug up. The Simpsons is a TV show Fry remembers. Use the {{disputed canon}} tag for things specific to this Simpsons episode. The crossover comics are higher canon as they comply with the The Simpsons is a TV show/comic rule. - I think it should be considered canon until noted otherwise. Lots of explanations can be given. Maybe it's a different Panucci's; maybe it's a different Seymour. It's possible that the Futurama universe/timeline and the Simpsons universe/timeline, although separate, converge and co-exist for some reason. But I agree with the use of the template.
