The Professor Farnsworth Himself

A robot is a mechanical artificial being. Usually made of metal, robot's have electromagnetism which is unable to move through anomalies. In Futurama, robots are not just used for human's work like cooking and cleaning, they also are used for companionship, most notably Helper. The word robot can refer to both physical robots and virtual software agents, but the latter are usually referred to as bots. Robots can also enslave humanity, like the cyborgs. There are about 100 robots in total, though with the show renewed, the robot count may grow.

Did you know...

  • ...that there are about 100 robots in Futurama?
  • ...that since there are about 1730 universes, there would be approximately 173,000 Futurama robots?
  • ...that Bender and Planet Express ship are the only robots to appear in every episode, film and comic?
