The Earth Bureau of Investigation (EBI) is an major criminal investigate organization on Earth. EBI has its own spaceships and buildings, one of them being the J. Edgar Winter Building in New New York. Bender once was put in the EBI witness relocation programme.

- However, it is possible that the FBI also still exists, as it has been mentioned multiple times in the series.
- The J. Edgar Winter Building is named after singer Edgar Winter, and is a parody of the J. Edgar Hoover Building.
- A Federal Bureau of Investigation could easily still exist, as long as Earth is part of a federation or maintains a federated government (which it seems to, since states and countries still exist).
