Inara Serra was a character played by Morena Baccarin on the short-lived cult television series Firefly and the movie Serenity. When the Planet Express crew visits the Head Museum for a party in 3011, Serra's head is visible on a shelf in the Hall of Presidents (6ACV23).
On Firefly, Serra was a Companion — a socially respectable prostitute/geisha — who traveled the known Universe, known in Firefly as "the 'verse", aboard the ship Serenity with its crew.

- The inclusion of Inara Serra's name, rather than that of Morena Baccarin, could suggest that the events of Firefly (in the 26th century) may have occurred in the Futurama timeline as well.
