Introduction

If this is the character not the writer, why does the introduction mention Futurama? Is it because of him being in a comic or is this just an error from when the Patric M. Verrone article was split? Teyrn of Highever 18:25, 5 April 2011 (CEST)

I looked at the histories of both articles. At the time this one was created, the Patric Verrone article used none of the phrases in this one, so it wasn't a cut-and-paste job. However, some of the information in both was the same, so I'd call it simple human error. -- DeepSpaceHomer 18:46, 5 April 2011 (CEST)
Thanks Homer. On a related topic, both the character and the writer have been listed for Bender Breaks Out. I haven't read this comic so I can't say if it is the same type of error as last time or just something from the comic. Anyone know? Teyrn of Highever 21:59, 5 April 2011 (CEST)
De nada. As for the comics...iunno. I haven't read the comic either, but I think it's more of a "celebrity cameo" kind of thing, since Bender is getting a tour of the Bongo offices. I would say that counts as him appearing in the comic, not his Futurama self, even if it is a satirical portrayal. -- DeepSpaceHomer 22:21, 5 April 2011 (CEST)
I'll remove the comic from this page then. Teyrn of Highever 22:26, 5 April 2011 (CEST)
The "Bender Breaks Out" info should still be there. Or did the Patric M. Verrone seen in it become less of a character after 6ACV11 aired? If you catch my drift! Sanfazer 19:38, 6 April 2011 (CEST)
Yes, I got it. My confusion was over which Patric M. Verrone was actually in the comic. Was it the one who was just a writer for The Simpsons and Bongo or was it the Patric M. Verrone who works on Futurama? You wouldn't put that Patric M. Verrone worked on Futurella, just as you wouldn't put that Patric M. Verrone's head is a writer for Futurama. In my opinion, the two are distinct, and the one in Bender Breaks Out is meant to be actual person rather than the Futurama character. Teyrn of Highever 22:01, 6 April 2011 (CEST)
I beg to differ. There are no actual persons in fiction. (There's just real person fiction.) Would it not be perfectly plausible for the Patric M. Verrone from "Bender Breaks Out" to be the same Patric M. Verrone who appeared in 6ACV11? Sanfazer 20:34, 7 April 2011 (CEST)
Bender_Breaks_Out#Bongo; These versions of Bongo staff are different to any versions of them seen elsewhere as they are seen to have been working on the comic in which they appeared and interacting with Bender, Lrrr, Ndnd and nameless Omicronians. Unlike Al Gore and his Action Rangers, there is no plausible way for these two to be the same. Incidentally the Bill Morrison killed in this issue was not the same as the other three of him either. - Quolnok 00:51, 8 April 2011 (CEST)
Bender blazed a trail through the space-time continuum that starts in this building and ends... in a 21st century comic book! - Farnsworth
So... um, what's the verdict? I'd be more than happy to undo the change, I'd just like to get some clarification before I do. Teyrn of Highever 00:56, 8 April 2011 (CEST)
Well, we either let the article be about two characters (which we don't seem to be doing these days) or let him have two character articles with "see also" sections. Likewise, we may need to add articles for the other alternates... Come to think of it, this is effectively an alternate universe version of Patric. So, unless we are going to give the more important Universe 1 varants articles, the other Patric is just mentioned in this article.
The Bills however are alternate Bill, robot Bill and Bill's male-line-descendant named Bill and would each merit seperate character articles since the real Bill has yet to appear (eventually he would share with his alternate). - Quolnok 05:41, 8 April 2011 (CEST)
