The edit war on this article has gotten ridiculous. Any issues with it need to be hashed out here and not through constantly changing the article. -- DeepSpaceHomer 19:39, 3 August 2011 (CEST)

"That guy from the future" can describe anyone. It is too general a name, but because he went unheard, unseen, and unnamed, it is very puzzling what actually makes him notable. Heck, even Lady Gaga would be more notable than this guy--Icyweaner2999 19:44, 3 August 2011 (CEST)

Even if we don't know his name, we know that we travelled in time and revealed that teleportation was invented in 3026, there is enough info to write an article. Otherwise, we should delete all the pseudocharacters. --Superbender 19:51, 3 August 2011 (CEST)

The article provides a platform for the discussion of teleportation (and time travel in general). This is why it is a good usage of an article. Although, I believe the trivia section should be written into prose. Take William Lyon Mackenzie King on the Star Trek wiki; while he is only ever mentioned within the context of Star Trek, the article allows for a discussion on him - and most importantly in his context against Star Trek.

This is also why we include articles of actual celebrities, even if they are only mentioned, but have some actual context upon the show. I may even suggest Lady Gaga an article for her mention. But since there will be little actual Futurama context to discuss (other than where it was mentioned; which some readers might be interested in), I doubt anyone will create it. --Svip^talk 13:49, 4 August 2011 (CEST)

He does have a name, "that guy from the future". We shouldn't apply our own labels to characters that already have one. And on the issue of notability: it's a non-issue on a wiki devoted to a single 22-minute long television series. Futurama can name characters what they want; even if it is ambiguous as 'air', and since there is no other character on Futurama with a name resembling "that guy from the future", I don't understand the name change. --Svip^talk 13:49, 4 August 2011 (CEST)
