Currency in the 31st century, at least originating from the USA, seems to still be dollars. Most notes look just like they are today, and each one of them has the face of an important individual on it. The $500 note has Al Gore (2ACV07), the $300 note has Richard Nixon's head (4ACV16), the $10 note has Benjamin Franklin (3ACV11, the $20 note has a Blob, probably H. G. Blob, saying it is "legal tender" (BBS), and the $5 note has Abraham Lincoln (ITWGY). The coins also seem to be similar to what they look like today.
The Everyone v. Farnsworth case was a trial lead by the Superior Gort Judge in the Superior Gort of the Robot Planetoid. Farnsworth was charged for creationism. Leela, Bender, Fry, Amy and Hermes were witnesses. It took place in August of 3010, and is known as the "trial of the century" (which doesn't say much as the court was created earlier that day).

Leela was originally intended to be the Professor's defense lawyer, but Bender claimed the job to himself, saying the other robots would listen to him.

Farnsworth was supposed to be found guilty and sentenced to death by melting, but the jury didn't reach a verdict, as it evolved to a higher state of consciousness and stopped serving.
}}
Lrrr is ruler of the planet Omicron Persei 8, a middle-aged Omicronian man with a bad temper and a soft spot for conquering planets and 20th century television.

Character description
Lrrr is a ruthless leader, who often subsides his empire's interest for the sake of his own, such as invading Earth on the grounds that Single Female Lawyers series finale was abruptly interrupted by technical difficulties.(1ACV12) While acting as a vicious, dangerous leader of his people, he is in actuality bored with Ndnd's constant nagging about having to conquer planets, and prefers lying on his couch watching TV.

While being a fan of 20th century television, such as Friends, he also has a softer side. He has been divorced and re-married at least once, but his relationship now remains stable with his current wife, Ndnd. However, despite this, the passion within this relationship has not had sparks since they married, in spite of attempts with aphrodisiacs.(4ACV17)

His wife Ndnd cited his former softer side as her original passion for Lrrr, but Lrrr had increasingly become more focused on himself as well as his warfare. It was not until the Planet Express crew in 3004 invited them out to a picnic in the Duraflame National Forest, where during an encounter with Bigfoot and Ranger Park realised that Lrrr's hunt for Fry's "lower horn" was a useless attempt to restore the passion in his marriage, and the poetry he spurt out, reignited Ndnd's love for him.

But Lrrr has also had a less obtainable wish to make his father proud, but after losing the Universal Poker Championship in 3009, his father remained unimpressed with Lrrr's performance.

Biography
Little is known about Lrrr's past, other than that he has married at least once before marrying his current wife. He seemingly was much more of a conqueror in his past, his wife wishing him to conquer more planets like he used to. In spite of this, he has attacked Earth three times in the past few years - when the finale of Single Female Lawyer was cancelled(1ACV12), when his young were sold as food on Earth(2ACV15) and when he wanted to make Ndnd take him back(6ACV11).

Additional Info
Trivia
*The first time Lrrr is introduced, the subtitles of the Region 1 DVD spelled his name "Lure".
*Though completely unable to grasp human social interaction, he is nevertheless able to recognise that Friends episodes can suffer from being "Joey-heavy".
*Lrrr does not like candy Valentine Hearts.
*Lrrr's horns on the top of his head are darker than other Omicronians, possibly to show his royalty.
*A running gag on the show involves Lrrr's trouble with microphones. In "When Aliens Attack", he says, "Is this thing on?" In "The Problem with Popplers", his first words are echoed by a television playing his address at the same time and at the end of his address, he is unaware that they are still on camera and inappropriately scratches his ass. In the same episode, a poppler named Jrrr has troubles with his microphone. In "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences", when Lrrr first attempts to speak at Comic-Con 3010, no one can hear what he is saying at all until Randy Munchnik raises the mike stand for him.
*Lrrr is a fan of the New Orleans Saints.
*He largely resembles Bowser the Koopa king from Super Mario Bros.
Bender Bending Rodríguez (Model: Bending Unit 22) is a bending unit, who works at Planet Express as Assistant Manager of Sales, formerly chef of the company. He is one of the primary characters and is known for his "in-your-face interface".

Personality and abilities
Bender was often selfish and insensitive to other peoples emotions. At one point he flushed Leela's beloved pet Nibbler down the toilet. He was also quite vain, frequently bragging about how great he was. Bender had no qualms about committing crimes and would often steal peoples wallets or items from shops. He loved smoking and drinking, though as a robot he had to drink alcohol to keep him going (the cigars just made him look cool). Bender could also be cruel at times and even sometimes treated his own friends badly.

However Bender was capable of caring for others and was close friends with Leela and Fry, though he was sometimes nasty to them. He also had a fair few romantic relationships with fembots. Bender could be very emotional at times and was empathic towards turtles since they had hard shells and had difficulty getting up if they fell on their backs, two things they shared in common with Bender. He also became leader of a group of penguins at one point. Bender also idolised the Harlem Globetrotters and wanted to become one of them and started crying when they refused to let him join.

Bender also loved cooking though he had little talent for it and would often cook things that were either inedible or just barely edible. In certain episodes however, he has been able to make food successfully, making a cake for Nibbler's birthday party which was promptly eaten by the Nibblonian.

As a robot, Bender had quite a lot of abilities. He was able to stretch his arms long distances as well as record data in his head, once using this to get Richard Nixon to give him back his body. He would also breathe fire whenever he burped and when he was terrified he would sometimes eject bricks from his backside which was his variant of defecation. Bender was also very strong, even managing to bend a supposedly unbendable girder.

Bender was able to remove numerous parts of his body such as his head, arms, legs and even eyes. When he was staring at something or someone his eyes frequently extended out of his head. Like turtles he could withdraw into his chest when he chose too. Bender could also survive in lava for a short time, though when he displayed this ability his eyes melted as soon as he came out of the lava.

Biography
Early years
Bender Bending Rodríguez was built in Tijuana, Mexico in the early 2990s, altough he believed it was in 2998, by Mom's Friendly Robot Company. He has a fatal defect leaving him as mortal as a human. Inspector 5 (Hermes) knew of the defect but let him live. There is some speculation about what happened in the following two years, except few things are certain, he briefly studied Bending at Bending State University, Which may or may not be the facility he was built in. He minored in Robo-American Studies.

He soon got a job bending girders, but after realizing that the purpose of the girders he bent were for suicide booths, he figured that his purpose was meaningless and thus decided to kill himself in one of the suicide booths he had helped construct.

You really want a robot for a friend?
Season 1
While waiting in line to kill himself on 31 December, 2999, Fry, who was clearly not familiar with suicide booths, stood in front of him, thinking it was a phone booth. Bender helped him along. But they managed to get out of the suicide booth alive. Bender soon learns that Fry is from the 20th Century and had been frozen for a thousand years.

But since Fry refused to get assigned to his job, Leela was on his tail. Bender helped him escape through the Head Museum and soon down to Old New York below New New York. Here Leela finally caught up with them and agreed to help Fry. Bender decided to stay with them and they headed over to Fry's nephew, Professor Farnsworth. Farnsworth soon offered them jobs, and luckily for them, he had the proper career chips.

Farnworth's asset
As an employee at Planet Express he continued his kleptomania, drinking and smoking. He convinced Fry to move in with him and soon Hermes Conrad forced him to actually do something around the company. He got assigned as chef of the company, one of his dreams was apparently to cook, but having no sense of taste made vile meals for the staff.

Bender got into trouble when he began abusing electricity (jacking on), and his friends were not in favor of it. Saddened by their discontent, he sought new opportunities in religion. He joined Robotology, but this just made him a lot more annoying to his friends. So they decided to make him sin to become his regular self again, and during a visit to Robot Hell and the Robot Devil, Fry and Leela managed to save him.

Bender himself never found true love, and one of the few close fembots he knew got sucked into a black hole after Zapp Brannigan had crashed the Titanic into it. But his personality continued to be a problem for his friends, and Leela became very upset with him when he flushed Nibbler down the toilet. The Professor "carefully" implanted an empathy chip in Bender, which forced him to feel Leela's every emotion for a short while.
The lesser of two evils
Season 2
During a visit to Past-O-Rama they bumped into Flexo, another Bending Unit, possibly also of the same model number (22). Flexo and Bender became good friends, but Fry feared that Flexo is evil, and in a mix up at the Miss Universe contest Flexo was arrested for Bender's attempt to steal the tiara.

Bender briefly joined the Robot Mafia and fought in the Ultimate Robot Fighting League until his popularity slipped and he was rigged out of the league. Together with his fellow robots he rebelled against humanity.

Well - I'm rich
Bender's Uncle Vladimir died and Bender was to inherit his castle. He asked the crew to stay there for one night and they agreed to it. Bender was not at all comfortable in his new castle and the start up sound of Windows 98 was not helping either.

While being chased by several hologram ghosts, he fled out in the yard where he was run over by a were-car. The collision caused a virus to be beamed into him and he became a were-car. Bender did not realize this until later, but the Gypsy told them the only way to get rid of the virus would be destroy the original were-car. So through a long journey they found the original were-car and destroyed it, and thus Bender was free of the virus.

Whether he kept the castle or not is unknown.

Now when I'm found in a million years, people will know what the score was
Season 3
Bender continued his life with many adventures together with Fry and Leela. He temporarily worked for Calculon as his water heater. He met up with Flexo again, but this time he was not happy to see him, because Bender figured that his second true love was still in love with Flexo. Bender screwed it up and the divorcees got back together.

He was briefly sent to an institute for insane robots, got to tour around with Beck and fulfil his dream of becoming a folk-singer, became Pharaoh of an entire planet and beat Elzar on the television show Iron Cook.

During a battle with Space Pirates Bender got shot out through the torpedo slot and was forced to drift through space. He for some time became the God of the Shrimpkins which was a life form that had grown on his stomach. But after they all died out, Bender met up with the Galactic Entity who he believes is God. And the Entity sent Bender back to Earth.

I should not be allowed on TV!
Season 4
Bender was still wanting his fame, he found interest in becoming the new Antonio on All My Circuits. He got the job. But Calculon was hardly impressed by Bender's performance, however the Network executives disagreed. So Bender got to continue on the show, but in his true nature.

But when Bender realized that his behaviour on TV causes Dwight and Cubert to steal his stuff, he called off the show.

Bender joined Fry and Leela briefly as they gained super powers in the New Justice Team, he has had an affair with the Planet Express Ship, he got modeled into a fembot and had a relationship shortly with Calculon and helped Robot Santa as a replacement.

Dumb dumb away!
Bender's Big Score
But the company got into trouble when the Box Network canceled its license, and for two years they were not able to deliver packages. Luckily though, their license was renewed and they went back in business.

Bender became the centre of attention as the new masters of the company lead by Nudar infected him with an iObey virus and they forced him to go back in time and steal all of Earth's valuables. But when Fry managed to escape back into the past, they send him after Fry to kill him, and after 12 years tireless hunting, he managed to do so.

But he soon learnt that the Fry he killed was doomed anyway because he was a time paradox duplicate. But after being stranded on Neptune for a while, humanity and he decided to fight back, and after with the help of Hermes the war was won, he revealed that he himself had kept the Spheroboom that the scammers had told him to keep safe, thus saving the day.

However, while on a trip back in time to make sense out of everything that had happened that year, a mishap led to him accidentally tearing the universe open.

Death to humans...
The Beast with a Billion Backs
After becoming an official stalker for Calculon by Calculon, Bender fell into a deep depression after Calculon informed him that there was no such thing as the League of Robots, a society of robots which came to the aid of robots abused by humans, and which Bender had worshipped for his entire life. He contemplated commiting suicide until he was approached by the League led by Calculon himself; he lied about its non-existence to ensure its secrecy.

Bender became the newest member of the League and began to personally enforce the no-humans policy of the organization, becoming very famous within it. However, Bender was caught helping his human friends and his bluffs were called by Calculon, whom Bender challenged to a duel. Bender broke the rules of the duel, severely injuring Calculon and nearly exposing the League, but instead of being kicked out of the League, Calculon resigned his position as President and gave it to Bender.

Bender organized the Army of the Damned (trading his firstborn son to the Robot Devil for it) to take over the world, only to discover that its entire population was already leaving to live on the body of a giant tentacled monster named Yivo. Bender soon received a letter from Fry describing how wonderful life was there, but Bender ended up interfering by attacking Yivo and attempting to bring humanity back. Soon, for personal reasons, Yivo unwittingly complied with Bender and had everybody return to Earth.

I know not of this Bender
Bender's Game
Bender finds himself attempting to catch up with a game of Dungeons and Dragons, played by Cubert Farnsworth and his friends. He soon hits the obstacle of realising he has no imagination. But the more he tries, he eventually believes he is Titanius Anglesmith, Fancy Man of Cornwood.

Unfortunately, his imagination grows wild, and he is sent to HAL Institute to be cured. The therapy is unsuccessful and they decide to give him a lobotomy. But during the operation, the dark matter crystals becomes close enough, allowing Bender's imagination to become real.

In his fantasy, he is the owner of a castle. When he hears of Black Knights approaching, he sets out with his friends, Leegola and Frydo. Discovering the Die of Power, he sets off to Greyfarn, where they learn of the story behind the Die. Titanius is slightly against the quest, but decides to tag along. On several occasions, he refers to going back, such as when they have just passed through the Cave of Hopelessness.

On the other side, the Fellowship decides to seek Wipe Castle for help. Unfortunately, the king is a loon, and the entire royal army is gone. As Momon's forces arrive, they have a large, unwinnable battle at hand. But as things seems darkest, Leegola and her centaur army saves Wipe Castle. Knowing of Frydo's quest, the Fellowship decides to go help him. However, they are too late and Momon wins the battle, causing them to return to their world.

I'm...so...GREAT!!
Into the Wild Green Yonder
Bender takes a trip to Mars Vegas with the rest of the crew. There, he falls in love with Fanny, a burlesque dancer, who is the Don Bot's wife. He enters the Universal Poker Championship Tournament for her and wins against Fry with five kings.

After returning to Earth, Bender feels upset that the Feministas are committing more felonies than him. He gets hired by Zapp Brannigan to help him capture the Feministas. By getting Bender to wire tap Fry's "cellphone-telephone" Zapp finds out where the Feministas are hiding and chases them aboard the Nimbus, along with Bender and Kif. After an exciting space chase, Bender captures the Feministas and goes against them in court. They are found guilty and sent to Maxi-Padlock Prison.

Bender then breaks into the women's prison and helps the Feministas escape, because by doing so, he would have committed way more felonies than the women. He bends a brick wall and calls Farnsworth, who pilots the Planet Express Ship down to rescue them from the prison's forces. They crash a demolition ceremony, and in the end, Bender is sent through a wormhole with the rest of the Planet Express Crew.

Mortality
After crashing the ship into Earth and being rebirthed, Bender starts a robosexual relationship with Amy, despite his previously affirming that "humans dating robots is sick" (3ACV15). Amy and Bender decided to marry, and managed to pass a proposition to legalize robosexual marriage. However Bender leaves her upon realising she wants a monogamous marriage.

Character description
Composition
Bender routinely claims to be made of thirty to forty percent of various metals, typically following his claims up by knocking on his own chassis. Unfortunately, his credibility on this matter is thrown into question by the fact that they add up to well over one hundred percent. Bender has alternately claimed to be:

*40% Zinc (1ACV13)
*40% Titanium (2ACV03)
*30% Iron,(3ACV22), presumably mixed with osmium, (3ACV17)
*40% Dolemite (4ACV07)
*40% Lead (Futurama (video game)). Canon status of video game uncertain.
*40% Luck/horseshoes (ItWGY)
*40% Chromium (6ACV03). Bender was not the one to make this claim. It was one of the Antarians.
*60% Storage space (6ACV10)
Total: 150% - 330% or greater. The number is dependent on whether or not one counts various claims as true. First the "40% Horseshoes" claim, as the supposed horseshoes could have been made of one of the other metals (Titanium, Iron, or Lead) meaning that one could have been a restatement rather than a new figure. Second, it depends on whether or not he considers his storage space to be part of the total percentage of himself, in which case the remaining 40% that he often claims to be would constitute the rest of his body. Third, the number is dependent on the whether the video game can be considered canon. Fourth and finally, whether the claim of "40% Chromium" is accepted. This claim was not made by Bender but rather one of the Antarians. It is plausible that the claim is false and that it was just made to justify the in-progress cannibalization of Bender's body. Even if all previous points were taken into account and only the first four claims were used, Bender's composition would be 150%, far more than what is possible. This error can be explained as due to Bender's being bad with math, making it plausible that he has given the wrong percentages (3ACV09).

Additionally, he has a 0.04% nickel impurity, which doesn't increase total percentage, but slightly decreases the percentages of everything else. This is apparently not a standard impurity, and is cited as making him unique.

There's also a mention that robots are made from recycled beer cans (and beer cans are made from recycled robots), so depending on the year 3000 composition of beer cans, he may have a certain percentage of aluminum in his alloy.

As a side note, "Dolemite" is also the name of a movie from 1974. The main character, Dolemite, is a pimp who leads an army of Kung Fu hookers. IMDB - Dolemite Bender has been been a pimp many times throughout the series.

Family
*Professor Farnsworth, creator of the sports utility robot on which Bender and all/most other modern robots are based.
*Flexo, another Bending unit of the same model.
*Mom, owner of Mom's Friendly Robot Co.
*His mother, a robotic arm who sends him Xmas cards.
*His father, who was killed by a giant can opener (2ACV01).
*Uncle Vladimir, who lived in Thermostadt, capital of the Robo-Hungarian Empire, and died at the ripe old age of 211.
*Tandy, Uncle Vladimir's son and hence Bender's cousin.
*Screwy Aunt Rita, who is a screw. (Note that Bender stated that he had an Aunt Rita during Leela's coma fantasy in the episode "The Sting", so this may not be true.)
*Albert, Bethany, Sally, Nina & 8 other orphans, briefly adopted from the Cookieville Minimum-Security Orphanarium
*Three penguin "children" (3ACV05)
*Junior, a child born to The Crushinator (US#009). Comic books of uncertain canon status.
*Bender's First Born Son, Bender exchanges him for an Army of the Damned.
*Bender's grandmother, who is a bulldozer.
*Buster, Bender's identical cousin.
*Turner, another cousin mentioned in 6ACV08
*Commodore LXIV, or Commodore 64. A painting of this robot is hanging in Uncle Vladimir's dining hall and can be assumed to be one of Bender's ancestors.
* Pet guinea pig
* Hermes Conrad, Inspector at Mom's friendly robot plant in Tijuana, Mexico.

Age
According to himself, Bender was originally constructed in 2998, making him one year old when Fry met him in 2999, but several later discoveries supports the theory that he was in fact born earlier. Bender's memory as newborn is as a complete, fullgrown robot, but events in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" suggest that his current, fullgrown body merely was the final stage, and it is possible that Bender only remembers entering this final stage - what he considers being born.

In season 6 episode "Lethal Inspection", it is revealed that Hermes supervised Bender's construction before getting the job in Planet Express, and is seen much younger than he must have in the late 2990's. We also see that the state in which he was supervised - reminiscent of a human baby - much differs from the one Bender remembers from 2998. In "The Prisoner of Benda", it can be shown that Hermes was already in the company in 2993, and thus Bender must have been born in that year at least, and possibly even earlier.

The events in "Roswell that Ends Well" make his head 1055 years older than the rest of his body. The incident in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" does largely not count as an ageing or the opposite, and fans largely regard his age to remain intact. In Bender's Big Score, Bender travels back in time several times, though the amount of times is unknown, the amount of Benders that appear at the end, may suggest at least a couple of thousand times. Given how many of these travels seems to be between 1000 to 5000 years in the past (from about 3007), an educated guess would make him at least a million years old, but probably more. An alternative theory could suggest when the time duplicates explode at the end of the first film, Bender is the same age he was at the end of the original run plus 995 years, as the Bender that went back 995 years in time to kill Fry is presumed to be the orginal and therefore wouldn't expire like the rest of them.

In the comic, "Rust in Peace", it is revealed that Bender, due to too much time travelling, must be inserted into a renewed unit. Farnsworth determines his age to be 27 203 before moving him to his new body. But 27 203 seems a lot less than what would be a quick educated guess. 27 203 would require Bender to have gone at least about a thousand years back each time and only gone 27 times, or instead gone more years back and done fewer than 27 times. But regardless of the ordeal, the amount of Benders appearing at the end of Bender's Big Score seems to contradict this fact. The event in the comic is thus not considered canon.

Durability
Bender frequently displays incredible durability, to the point that he appears to be indestructible. He has been completely flattened, hit point-blank with a shotgun, had several chips removed from his severed head, then had his head buried for over a thousand years, had his lower torso melted from a cosmic electrical disturbance, been launched out of a torpedo tube then withstood atmospheric reentry, submerged himself in lava, and been burned to nothing but his eyes and mouth after converting his body entirely into wood
(though this was a dream). In "Rebirth", after having been nearly eaten by a cyclophage and have a doomsday device explode inside him,he remarks "What does it take to kill me?!".

However, as it's revealed in "Lethal Inspection", Bender was built without a backup unit. This means he can't download his personality or memories to another body, which he wanted to do if his original body got killed. If he dies, he dies. As it turned out, Inspector #5 was the one responsible for mercifully approving Bender as a perfect robot, thus allowing him to live despite actually being a deffective robot.
Voice
Of all the voices on the show, Bender's voice was the most difficult to cast. This is because none of the creators and crew were sure what a robot should sound like yet. So they had every voice actor who auditioned also audition for the role of Bender. Even David X. Cohen was suggested for the role.

John DiMaggio originally auditioned with Bender's voice for Professor Farnsworth. Among the bases for the voice were the character of Taggart from Blazing Saddles and DiMaggio's original character "Charlie the Sausage Lover". In the audio commentary of Spanish Fry, David X. Cohen joked about it also being "90 parts John DiMaggio."

Catchphrases
Bender's basic catchphrase is "Bite my shiny metal ass".

Variations on this include the following:
*Bite my red-hot glowing ass! (1ACV12)
*Lick my frozen metal ass! (2ACV04)
*Bite my colossal metal ass! (2ACV16)
*The modern world can bite my splintery wooden ass! (4ACV14)
*Bite my glorious golden ass! (4ACV15)
*Bite my shiny metal face!! (Bender's Game)
*Bite my shiny metal hat. (Said by Fry, Into the Wild Green Yonder)

Other common catchphrases are:
*"Me, Bender": whenever he says "me", he usually follows it with "Bender", thus producing the sentence "me, Bender." Thus making this the most said character name on the show.
*"Well, we're boned.", said in situations where he, or a group of people including him, are in a large amount of trouble.
*"I'm back, baby!" whenever he makes an intriguing appearance on the scene; Bender had also said the phrase "We're back, baby!" on numerous occasions, particularly in reference to the series' revival. At one point, Bender just said, "Yeah, we're back." while filing his "nails" after escaping the wormhole.
*"Neat!", when Bender is taking a picture with his purple camera, usually of something disturbing or disgusting.
*"Cheese it!" whenever he encourages other characters to run away from trouble. This is used less commonly.
*"Fun on a bun!", another less common catchphrase that is used whenever Bender describes amusement.
*"He's pending for a bending.", a phrase used as a warning very few times throughout the show.
*"Bender is great!", like "Me, Bender", he usually likes to say this to emphasize his enormous ego.
*"Oooh!", a ghostly/eerie noise often accompanied by jazz hands when feigning supernatural abilities, etc... (The Gypsy machine also did this once to Fry)

Bender also has a tendency to call humans "meatbag" when he is displeased or annoyed with them. Additionally, Bender regularly says "Kill all humans", although, in Leela's dream he claims to whisper "except one", referring to Fry, every time too.

As stated in "War Is the H-Word", the top ten words that Bender uses more than any others is as follows:

Chump

Chumpette

Yours

Up

Pimpmobile

Bite

My

Shiny

Daffodil

Ass

It is by no means impossible that the second word in the list is not "metal" considering all the variations of his catchphrase. In reference to his use of the word "daffodil", he said the sentence "Hot-diggidy-daffodil" in this episode and again in The Beast with a Billion Backs. "Chumpette" is only uttered once though. "Pimpmobile" was also spoken by Bender in the game. However, in all likelihood, Bender's real most spoken words would most likely be along the lines of any other speaker of the English language: the, and, I, a, so; etc.

Assets and Titles
Bender has, over the years gained many assets and ranks in various organizations and a large amount of wealth. Some of these include:

*Served as Prime Minister of Trisol under the brief rule of Fry the Solid (possibly terminated when the old emperor came back into power)
*A castle, inherited from his uncle
*Leader of the League of Robots
*Commander of the Army of the Damned
*Iron Cook, on the television show of the same name (Zinc Saucier)
*The Dirty Double Cross, Earth's highest honor in swindling
*Calculon's official stalker (possibly fired when he maimed Calculon during a duel)
*Spy for the DOOP
*An enormous amount of wealth from various crimes
*Pharaoh of Osiris 4
*Prime Minister of Norway, due to him having the real Prime Minister of Norway's hand AND career chip

Alternate Appearances
*Giant Bender: In "Anthology of Interest I", Bender asks what it would be like if he were 500 feet tall. During the episode, he claims to weigh 7 billion tons (14 trillion pounds).
*Parallel Bender: The only difference apparent between Bender and his counterpart in the parallel universe (the only alternate universe at the time) was that parallel Bender (along with the rest of the parallel Planet Express crew) was wearing a cowboy hat and vest when both crews visited the Edge of the Universe. Whether this is the norm for the parallel Crew, or was due to some difference in parallel Fry's touristy adventure that day was never mentioned.
*iObey Bender: In Bender's Big Score, Bender was tricked into downloading the iObey obedience virus. He is forced to do anything the naked scammers tell him, and his pupils become red pixel swirls.
*Were-Car Bender: In "The Honking", Bender is transformed each night at midnight into a malicious were-car, determined to kill his closest friend.
*Human Bender: In "Anthology of Interest II", Bender asks what it would be like if he were human. Despite being Mexican, he appears to be Caucasian. (Note: this could be a default setting on the professors device.)
*Flying Saucer Bender: After crashing to the New Mexico desert, the US military mistakenly reassembles Bender's body to resemble a small (functional) flying saucer.
*Young Bender: Bender takes several reverted forms in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles", including a software disc and a set of "Bending unit blueprints". Modifications include braces and dish-antenna-like ears.
*Coilette: Bender undergoes a sex-change operation in order to win five olympic gold medals. Faked his(her) own death with a fictional disease called "African Hydraulic Fever" because he(she) did not want to marry Calculon.
*Wooden Bender: Bender downgrades to a wooden, steam-powered version in "Obsoletely Fabulous".
*Golden Bender: In Universe 1, Bender's coin flip resulted in his choosing the gold finish instead of the foghat grey that we're used to.
*Go-Kart Bender: After being murdered by Leela in "Anthology of Interest I", she reassembles his parts into a sporty go-kart.
*Santa Bender: In "A Tale of Two Santas" Bender becomes a good Santa. This appearance basically has Bender's body painted red.
*Bender the Offender/Gender Bender In "Raging Bender", Bender joins the Ultimate Robot Fighting League, and became 'Bender the Offender', but after he became less popular, Abner Doubledeal, the Commissioner of the URFL, changed his persona to 'The Gender Bender'
*Superking: Bender joins the New Justice Team, as a superhero in "Less than Hero".
*LOR Bender: Bender is given a luxurious ascot to wear, as he becomes a new member of the League of Robots.
*Pirate Bender: He dressed as a pirate in honor of Fry in his attempt to retrieve him from Yivo's body in The Beast with a Billion Backs.
*Titanius Anglesmith: While playing Dungeons & Dragons in Bender's Game, Bender convinces himself that he is a knight and goes insane.
*Benderine: In "Planet X-Press Men", Fry falls unconscious and dreams of Bender becoming a Wolverine like character.

*Bender's First Born Son, Bender exchanges him for an Army of the Damned.
*Bender's grandmother, who is a bulldozer.
*Buster, Bender's identical cousin.
*Turner, another cousin mentioned in 6ACV08
*Commodore LXIV, or Commodore 64. A painting of this robot is hanging in Uncle Vladimir's dining hall and can be assumed to be one of Bender's ancestors.
* Pet guinea pig

*CD Player: Bender can open his mouth panel to insert and play music CDs, as revealed in "Obsoletely Fabulous".
*Projector: A deleted scene from the opening of The Beast with a Billion Backs shows Bender projecting the Futurama logo, and the blue beams displayed behind it, from the top of his head, possibly from his antenna.
*Spray Paint: Bender is capable of spraying paint from his mouth, and does this when writing graffiti as seen in "A Pharaoh to Remember"
*Suction Cup Feet: Bender can use his feet as suction cups, allowing him to walk on walls. This is seen in "Bendless Love"
*Vacuum: Bender's arm can also can be used as a vacuum. As seen in the fourth movie; Into the Wild Green Yonder, sucking up slot coins.
*Pencil Sharpener: Bender can sharpen a pencil, as seen in "Lethal Inspection".
*Gyroscope: Bender is gyroscopically stable, as seen in "The Mutants Are Revolting".
Planet Express, inc. is an intergalactic delivery company started by Professor Farnsworth, at least in 2992, to fund his research. Its primary location is located in New New York.

The company scrapes by, in spite of fierce competition from the leader in package delivery, Mom's Friendly Delivery Company. They stay in business thanks to their complete disregard for safety and minimum wage laws, and the Professor's unscrupulous acceptance of the occasional bribe.

During its existence, the company has at times changed owner: Cubert and Dwight took over the business when they inherited it due to the Professor having at one time been declared dead. During their reign it was renamed "Awesome Express". Later Steve Castle was elected CEO and ran the business as "PlanEx". Later the Scammer Aliens, lead by Nudar, took over. In all cases, the company had been returned to Professor Farnsworth, either due to death or realisation of being unfit for business.

The current crew recently had their 100th delivery. To celebrate, Bender threw a 100th Delivery Party.

History
Creation
Planet Express was founded by Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth as method of funding his research. While the year is unknown, we know this was before 2992, when the first employee of the year was then 13-year-old Amy Wong. Amy has supposedly not worked with the company from the beginning, as she does not seem to know any of the multiple previous crews before the current. While little is known about Planet Express' early history, we are to understand that Dr. Zoidberg were one of Farnsworth's employees, as well as one of Farnsworth's oldest friends. We also know that Hermes Conrad has been with the company for as early as 2993.

Besides regular staff, such as Hermes Conrad, bureaucrat, and interns, such as Amy Wong, the company's most important positions are the starship crew, whom are to pilot the Planet Express ship for deliveries, and essentially the business itself. Though, it is not unlikely for the rest of the staff to tag along with the ship for a mission or two.

Planet Express has had a history of security issues, several prior crews to Turanga Leela, Philip J. Fry and Bender Bending Rodríguez have apparently been lost or killed during difficult missions, which Farnsworth relentlessly sent them out on. The current crew can be assumed to be the most successful crew so far, in terms of survival, although the professor assert that they are still not as good as his previous crew.

At least two former crews are known to exists, one lead by Captain Musky and another which was killed by Space wasps/Space bees (alternatively, there might have been two crews entirely, though this is just a continuity error). According to crew just before the current, they too were not as good as the crew prior to them. One may assume that Farnsworth simply tells all his crews this, as a form of motivation. Farnsworth himself though doesn't really seem to think highly of the chances of his crew surviving, as he evidently is looking for a replacement crew even before they are gone.

New crew... what happened to the old crew?
In early 3000, after being unfrozen, Philip J. Fry, along with his new found friends, Turanga Leela and Bender Bending Rodríguez joins Planet Express as its new crew. In the new crew's early beginnings, they start out with simple missions, but Farnsworth also gets himself involved with charity missions, such as saving the animals on Vergon 6.

For not informing the authorities of his vast amount of security issues with the company, the professor thanked his crew by inviting them onto the cruise ship Titanic, which was, most unfortunately, sucked into a black hole.

Changing hands
In 3001, during a nervous breakdown from Hermes, the company's bureaucrat was replaced temporary by Morgan Proctor, whose changes to the company was not entirely pleasing for the crew, except Fry, who Proctor had an eye for. However, in an attempt to get Bender's brain back, Hermes regained his lust for bureaucracy, and during a sorting of the master inpile, Hermes felt upon a form discrediting Proctor's stature as a bureaucrat, and Hermes was hired back at the company – at severely reduced pay of course, and so was the rest, apparently.

The sons of Farnsworth and Hermes, Cubert and Dwight, in an attempt to impress their fathers, created a competing business, Awesome Express, and after some successful paperwork, they took over the business of Planet Express as well. This takeover, much to Farnsworth's and Hermes' dismay, were eventually annulled when Leela discovered that they had not even delivered the newspaper they were hired to.

PlanEx
In 3002 came perhaps the biggest takeover of the Planet Express corporation, by a former 1980s stockbroker, Steve Castle, replaced Farnsworth as the CEO of Planet Express, inc. after suggestion from Fry.

When Steve Castle became CEO of the company, he changed the focus of the company to brand and image rather than actual package delivery. He changed the logo and name of the company as well to "PlanEx", as well as a styled 1980s advertisement for the company.

Steve Castle's foremost for PlanEx was the giant corporation of Mom's Friendly Delivery Company, which controlled most of Earth's planetary and interplanetary deliveries. Despite being ruled as an impossible feat, Fry and Castle assured the board of the company that they would take of the battle.

Castle and Mom met at Elzar's Fine Cuisine, which they negotiated about the future of both companies, and eventually Castle decided to sell Planet Express to Mom, so "she can gut us as competitors".

The sale of PlanEx were held at the Intergalactic Stock Exchange, where it turned out that Dr. Zoidberg owned 51% of the company up until that point, which Steve Castle had purchased, resulting in him being able to cast the vote required to sell the company. However, despite the employees' discontent with the sale, they soon discovered that their stocks were worth over 100 a piece, at which point they wanted Mom to buy the company regardless.

Unfortunately, just as the purchase of the stocks were to go ahead, Steve Castle's fatal disease of boneitis kicked in, and died upon the stage. And after telling his story, Fry eventually made the stock price fall to 3 cents, apparently "worth less than when they were worthless" according to Hermes.

Previous universe
When Fry, Bender, and the Professor started testing the forward time machine and were accidentally sent 7000 years into the future in "The Late Philip J. Fry", the remaining Planet Express crew thought they had died, so Leela seized control of the company. She laid off Zoidberg and there were tough times. Leela, Hermes, Amy, and possibly Cubert pulled together, and 20 years later the delivery service became incredibly successful.

In 3050, Planet Express had achieved even more, and kept growing and growing, despite Hermes becoming a head in a jar and Amy getting a robot body. Unfortunately for everyone, the guys would return 2 universes later to maintain the poor management the company was used to in the first universe. Futurama is now set in the third universe, where all is back to normal.

After it was revealed that Zoidberg owned 51% of the company before selling his shares to That Guy, That Guy died of boneitis, which gave Fry control of his shares. So out of Planet Express' 204 084 shares;
*Fry has 114 083 shares (104 083 from Zoidberg's and then That Guy's former shares, and 10 000 that Fry had before)
*Hattie has 1 share
*Zoidberg although previously owning 51% of the company, now has 0 shares
Therefore, Fry owns 55.9% of Planet Express (overall majority control of company), Scruffy owns 19.6%, Leela, Bender, The Professor, Hermes and Amy each own 4.9% of the company and Hattie owns 0.00049% of the company. It is unknown whether this remains the situation as Hermes seemed quite happy to keep selling shares to anyone since they were worthless, e.g. he sold 51% of the company to Zoidberg for toilet paper. However, Zoidberg would be least affected if Planet Express was to go into financial ruin as he doesn't have any money to lose in the first place and also that he has no shares and therefore no say in the financial running of the company.
Dr. Ogden Wernstrom is Professor Farnsworth's nemesis and formerly one of his best students at Mars University slightly over 100 years ago.

Personality
Dr Wernstrom is an old enemy of Professor Farnsworth and was determined to get back at him for something as trivial as getting an A minus in an exam. His obsession with avenging himself against Farnsworth caused him to promise that he'd get back at him even if it took a hundred years. Approximately a hundred years later, he made the promise a second time, despite the fact that he most likely wouldn't live to be over two hundred. Wernstrom frequently sneers at Farnsworth whenever the elder scientist makes blunders. He has also been described as being a jackass, not just to Farnsworth but to pretty much anybody.

Wernstrom is a clever scientist, possibly the equal of Farnsworth. However Wernstrom seems to be biased against robots, claiming that he had suspected they were responsible for global warming after this was confirmed by Farnsworth.

Wernstrom's rivalry with Farnsworth has softened over the years and they have even worked together from time to time.

Biography
After one fateful pop quiz which Farnsworth graded an A-minus on account of Wernstrom's sloppy handwriting, Wernstrom swore that he would get his revenge even if it took a hundred years. He briefly succeeded in this at the Academy of Inventors annual symposioum in 3000 when he won the Academy Prize and got to grade Farnsworth's contribution, the Smell-O-Scope concept, an A-minus-minus. However, the Academy Prize was taken away from him again after the events concerning a giant ball of garbage headed straight for New New York and his revenge was thus foiled, yet he swore he would get Farnsworth for this even if it took another hundred years.

He was Mom's husband and possibly fathered Walt and Larry in the 2970s, but they divorced. They later come back when the Professor discovered that Dark Matter could be used as a fuel, they breaked probably after this time and before 3000.

Dr. Wernstrom is a member of the University Council of Mars University. Among other things, he is manufacturing and constructing Killbots, which brings him into competition with Professor Farnsworth once again: They got into a fist fight at the "Roboticon 3003" over it. He briefly worked for Earth's government during the global warming crisis of 3003 and attempted to kill all robots on Earth with a great electromagnetic pulse (EMP).

Their rivalry appears to have softened over the years, and have even managed to collaborate with one another every once in a while, though they do periodically bicker every now and then. Wernstrom also appears to respect some of Farnsworth's decisions if he himself believes them to be right as well.

Family
* Mom, wife / ex-wife
* Walt and Larry, possibly sons

Dr. Wernstrom's Creations
*Reverse Scuba Suit
*A variety of Killbots
*A mirror to deflect sunlight in order to cool down Earth, later modified to deliver a massive EMP shock wave.
*Diamondillium

Additional Info
Trivia
*According to the DVD commentaries, Wernstrom was originally intended to be a one-time character, but kept reappearing over the years.
*He is referred to by Professor Morris Katz as "Professor Ogden Wernstrom".

The opening sequence starts with the Planet Express ship flying, as it passes the letters of Futurama appear in the middle of the screen and a caption that differs in each episode appears under it, such as "Live From Omicron Persei 8". The Planet Express ship flies through the title into New New York. The camera shows different parts of the city, with a lot of Hovercars, buildings, people in the Tube System and advertisments until it comes to a large screen on top of a building which shows a real-life cartoon that differs in each episode. After the cartoon, it shows the credits and the ship then crashes into the screen. Some episodes, especially in season one, two, and six have short chapters called the cold opening before the opening sequence. This could for example be a sponsor, a recap (in the movies and season six premiere) or a shorter joke. In the sixth season, most of the episodes so far have had the opening sequence abbreviated, eliminating some of the parts showing the flight of the Planet Express Ship as well as the opening cartoon.
Opening Theme
In some episodes the traditional theme is different and sometimes has the cast singing. The accompanying music makes use of the rarely used Boobam and Tubular bell. The music, like with much of the show, is composed by Christopher Tyng. People widely regard Pierre Henry's 1967 Psyché Rock to be of great influence for the theme, this tune can be heard on YouTube.
Movies
In the movies of Futurama, the opening sequence is a bit different from the show normal episodes, and differs in each movie. For the episodes made from these films, the first of each four features the film's opening, while parts 2, 3 and 4 have the classic introductions' title caption and billboard crash with a recap in between.

Bender's Big Score
In Bender's Big Score, the opening sequence was largely changed, while it did have the same graphics in the background, it also had introductions of each of the main characters to an alternative music of the normal theme, which had been created for the Futurama game. And since it was a film, there was no information about who created the show on the beginning monitor, instead just the film's name. The title caption says "It just won't stay dead!"

The Beast With A Billion Backs
The opening sequence for The Beast with a Billion Backs is much like that of the series. However, instead of the Planet Express Ship crashing into the giant screen, it goes through into it, starting a short 1920s style cartoon, strongly parodying "Steamboat Willie". After this sequence, the opening resumes as normal with the ship exiting the cartoon, breaking the screen as usual. The title caption says "The proud product of prison labor."

Bender's Game
The opening sequence for Bender's Game is identical to the regular sequence, but like the sequence for The Beast With A Billion Backs, the Planet Express Ship goes through the giant screen into a parody of "Yellow Submarine." When the title appears, it shows Bender thumping his chest like Donkey Kong, and the Ship crashes out of the screen, with a bunch of flowers. The title caption says "The flames on your television are not part of the show."

Into the Wild Green Yonder
The opening sequence for Into the Wild Green Yonder is largely different from the others, The main difference is that it takes place in Mars Vegas and Seth MacFarlane sings a completely different song to the normal opening sequence. The title caption says (in Alien Language 1) "The humans shall not defeat us".
Trivia
*None of the characters seen in the tube system appear in the pilot episode except for Smitty.
*The guy that comes before Amy used to have a hook for a hand until during the opening of Bender's Big Score, he doesn't have a hook anymore. Instead, it is replaced with a real hand.
In order to make this quarter of the film fit into an episode's timeslot, some transitional shots were shortened slightly, and some other larger cuts have occurred.
*After the start of the introduction and a new caption, Hermes and Zoidberg stand in the hangar and say "previously on Futurama" then clink champagne glasses labelled "matter" and "anti-matter" together, causing an explosion before the recap begins.
*Leo's targeting of the golf ball canon at Hydra is shorter.
*Leela's "Well, there won't be any imploding once they read our environmental review." loses the "well".
*When Nixon is instructing Agnew in his swing, the first sentence doesn't start with "now".
*The Feministas' chant has one less "save the ecosystem" at the end.
*When the Feministas are hiding out, Frida doesn't ask "Now what do we do?"
*When Nine is explaining the situation to Fry, after silencing Hutch he doesn't say "You shall learn more in time, Fry. But..." Nor does he say "and our enemies would know of our existence," after telling Fry that Leela's thoughts would be read.
*Leo's thoughts heard by Fry don't include "Security guard gotta be tough."
*Sal doesn't tell the "hookers" that "This is [his] turfs."
*During the news, Linda isn't caught off guard talking to Morbo, as such we don't her her say "So you make more than twice what I do. What?"
*Sub commander L doesn't refer to herself as "den mother of the Feminista Revolutionary Collective". She also doesn't say the leech has a right to exist "because it's a part of nature." A third portion of the speech that is removed is "We call on women everywhere to join our struggle against eco-chauvinist Leo Wong. We especially need good communiqué writers."
*After Bender steps into the Room, Kif blows into a trumpet, producing a flag that reads "to be continued...".
In order to make this quarter of the film fit into an episode's timeslot, some transitional shots were shortened slightly, and some other larger cuts have occurred.
*After the start of the introduction and a new caption, the camera zooms into the ship where Leela says "previously on Futurama" the camera then zooms further, hitting her in the eye before the recap begins.
*Bender's explanation is missing "It's 'cause Leela's a threat. A threat to my reputation.".
*Bender's exchange with Kif regarding how he intends to wire tap Leela is removed. As a result so is the first line of the next scene, where Fry is referred to as the weakness.
*Fry doesn't try to defend himself to Amy in relation to working with her dad.
*Amy doesn't curse in Cantonese after Leo says he wanted a son.
**Soon after, she doesn't say "Why don't you just adopt Fry and make him the son you never had? That'll replace the daughter you don't have anymore!"
*Zoidberg's line "The feministas, probably" is gone as are a few of circles the van makes around the Planet Express ship.
**The takeover of the ship ends after Labarbara's line, rather than having Leela announce it and Zoidberg try to prevent it.
*Frida's first line of the episode doesn't begin with "hmm".
*The Dark One doesn't taunt Frida by asking "where are [her] crappy rhymes now", therefore her last one, which would have followed this, is missing.
*"These evil creatures preyed on all life, driving species after species to extinction." is not said by Nine about the dark ones.
*After locking up her husband and his friends, Labarbara doesn't start her next line with "There!"
*Nine doesn't say "Imagine, all the animals that failed evolution's test, alive again! The dodo bird, the brittle-klutz, the striped biologist-taunter."
*Linda and Labarbara's lines after Fry is captured are removed
*The episode ends with Bender talking to the camera, but he is interrupted by the Transition Announcer.
Film to Episode Edits
In order to make this quarter of the film fit into an episode's timeslot, some transitional shots were shortened slightly, and some other larger cuts have occurred.
*After the start of the introduction and the caption from the film, Fry is seen on Planet Express' balcony, he says "previously on Futurama". He plays his holophonor and the camera zooms into the holographic cloud before the recap begins.
**This is a reference to "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings", which was the final episode of the original run, an obvious reference to this possibly being the final Futurama episode at the time of it's broadcast.
*Leo Wong isn't seen testifying.
*Justice Dogg doesn't close with "Peace" after handing out the verdict.
*Fry doesn't say "The name "Omega Device" sort of conjured up something cooler looking. Not that I'm disappointed or anything."
*No mention is made of farting, or the need to be at point blank range.
*The Warden isn't seen turning off the lights and Leela doesn't announce that the coast is clear, nor is Amy seen falling off her bunk
*Leela doesn't say "That's right. He's been living off me since we got captured."
*Farnsworth's comment that "This is a business, not a social club. Money talks." and the subsequent talk with money is missing
*Amy's line "Bender, is that you?" became simply "Bender?"
*Bender's confusion about nutmeg is edited out, so that in this version he simply forgot about the guards.
*Zapp doesn't say thanks to Kif after sitting on his shoulders.
*Leo doesn't warn Fry "careful those wires."
*Nixon's head's thoughts aren't heard.
*Calculon's line about his operating system, Windows Vista, was changed to Windows 7.
*Amy's mother doesn't say her name in surprise.
LaBarbara Conrad (formerly LaBarbara Slim) is the wife of Hermes Conrad, and mother to Dwight. However, she has not always been attached to Hermes and was once married to Barbados Slim, Hermes' bitter limboing rival during the 2980 Olympics and again during the 3004 Olympics.

Personality
LaBarbara is generally portrayed as a good wife to Hermes Conrad. However she abandoned him twice during Bender's Big Score and returned briefly to her ex husband Barbados Slim, simply because she didn't like the fact that Hermes had to have his head put in a jar. However she eventually realised that there were things more important than physical appearances and though she confessed she'd married Hermes for his body, she said that she was staying with him for his mind. She does appear to love and respect her husband, and she has supported him on several occasions.

Additional Info
Hermes variations
Along with her husband, she also makes the "of" references, including...
*Sweet she-cattle of Seattle!
As well as green snake references...
*Like a green snake through a sugar cane cake!

(Both instances, from Into the Wild Green Yonder, were met with disdain from Hermes.)

Trivia
*LaBarbara is much taller than her rather short husband.
*She can play the steel drum quite well.
*She admires Hermes for his accountancy, organizational and limboing skills.
*She joined the company vacation on board the Titanic
Hermes Conrad is a Jamaican Bureaucrat, and proud of both. He works at Planet Express, handling stamping, filing, collating, and accounting - all the fiddly little paperwork that only a true bureaucrat can handle properly. He claims, however, that he is only anal 78.36% of the time. He is also an honorary Globetrotter, and has worked for Mom's Friendly Robot Company as Inspector #5.

Personality
Hermes is a bureaucrat working for the Planet Express delivery company, under Hubert J. Farnsworth. He is friendly and hard working but can also be nasty at times, particularly to Dr. Zoidberg. Despite his wide frame, Hermes was an accomplished limboer. He has a rivalry with Barbados Slim. Hermes also has a habit of saying "Sweet (something) of (some place)".
The show also hints that Hermes does not like his co-workers in "The Farnsworth Parabox". He first tells Leela to shoot Bender, Fry and Zoidberg, and second has to be begged not to eject the crew from the airlock.

Biography
Hurricane in Kingston town
Hermes Conrad was born to a fat ugly Jamaican woman in 2959 and soon after began to develop into a fine young bureaucrat, crying when his alphabet blocks are knocked out of order as a four year old and making friends and family file long applications to get into his tenth birthday party.

Limbo champion
During his adult life, Hermes became an Olympic grade limboer. It was around this time that he married LaBarbara, the ex-wife of his rival Barbados Slim. On his honeymoon, he limboed for 12 straight hours. When competing for the Earth team in 2980 a young fan trying to emulate him ran onto the field and snapped his spine, killing him, Hermes dropped out of professional limbo immediately after the tragic accident. Turning to his other passion, Hermes and his wife moved to New New York, home to the Central Bureaucracy and the couple had a son, Dwight.

Mom's Friendly Robot Company
Sometime after moving to New New York, Hermes got a job as Inspector #5 at Mom's Friendly Robot Company's Tijuana division. There he was responsible for letting Bender live, despite being a defective unit. After this he immediately quit the company.

Heroic Bureaucrat
Hermes, as a grade 36 bureaucrat, joined the staff of Planet Express. When his limboing skills alone could save the entire crew from certain death in the destruction of the space cruise ship Titanic, he overcame his aversion and rediscovered the sport he loved. After a few bad experiences with Brain Slugs, Hermes received a pair of letters from the Central Bureaucracy, the second of which informed him there would soon be an inspection - and a chance at a promotion. Unfortunately, his office was messed up by the angry staff of Applied Cryogenics and he was sent on the ultimate penalty of paid vacation. On returning to the Central Bureaucracy building, he was able to sort the master "in" pile and retrieve a disk containing Bender's brain. He finished the job with time to spare and was demoted to grade 38 as a result, but soon found an error in another bureaucrat's paperwork and earned a promotion to grade 37.

It's called parenting
When Dwight and Cubert Farnsworth started their own delivery company, Hermes and the Professor felt threatened, and rightly so; the pair soon took over the company, until they were revealed to not have been delivering their papers. Later, The pair of parents formed a Bender protest group, Fathers Against Rude Television, which successfully protested All My Circuits to get him off the show and remove his influence on their children.

Old Habits
In 3004, when the entire Jamaican limbo team was detained at the airport because of their "other interests," Hermes was called back out of retirement to defend his country's pride, but he came in dead last due to a freak accident with his special limboing suit. Three years and three bureaucrat grade increases later Hermes, now grade 34, was decapitated when a decorative sword fell and sliced off his head after a limbo contest at Planet Express. Although he survived as a head in a jar, LaBarbara immediately left him and went back to Barbados Slim. At Lars and Leela's wedding, he won LaBarbara back when he received a new body (his own, stolen from the past by Bender). Soon after, he was jabbed in the eye with a pen and his head is chopped off once again when a Chandelier crystal falls, destroying the time paradox duplicate body. His head then provides useful guidance in the war to reclaim the earth where, using his mighty bureaucratic mind to coordinate the human fleet, he defeats the gold Death Stars and wins LarBabara back. He then regains his original body back and witnesses space ripping open.

Mysterious Destination
In the same year, he attends Kif and Amy's Fonfon Rubok and participates in "Deathball" to win the right to explore the Anomaly. He is one of the many people who live with one of Yivo's tentacles in his neck and joins everyone else in the universe in leaving to live on Yivo. After returning, Hermes comes to LaBarbara and the other Feministas' rescue, as they flee Zapp Brannigan and the Earthican legal system through a wormhole.

Reborn
Exiting the wormhole, only to crash land outside their workplace, Hermes and his colleagues are given new bodies by the Professor, as the old ones were reduced to skeletons. A few months later, Bender learned that he had been approved by "Inspector #5" despite lacking a backup unit. Hermes accompanies Bender on a quest to find the responsible party, allowing him to continue hiding the fact that he had been that inspector, and to protect Bender from any dangerous Killbots. By this time, Hermes had been demoted back to grade 36.
Character Description
Family
*Conrad, wife.
*Dwight Conrad, son.
*Granny (deceased), a zombie.
*Mamma (deceased), fat, ugly, and possibly promiscuous, she promised Hermes that he would never be attacked by tentacles when he gave up diapers.
*Unnamed father (possibly deceased), he promised his son that he would never be attacked by tentacles when he gave up diapers.

Appearance
It is pointed out at several times that Hermes is overweight, for example when a sword cuts off part of his belly while limboing. In "The Duh-Vinci Code", he realizes that he is not, as he presumed, big-boned - he's just fat. In "The Prisoner of Benda", he suggests that Amy changes bodies with him, and when she says she'll destroy his body too (already having made Leela's obese, he solemnly replies, "three decades of the munchies already beat you to it". Amy however helps him lose a lot of weight, by losing her appetite after seeing Fry and Leela make out in the bodies of the Professor and Zoidberg, respectively.

Additional Info
Trivia
*Apparently Hermes has head lice. Probably due to how dreadlocks are made, and near impossible to wash.
*Age is revealed in ""Bender Breaks Out" (US#020)", when he dies in an alternate timeline.
*In Cornwood, a universe created from Bender's imagination, Hermes counterpart is a hermaphroditic centaur.
*In "Proposition Infinity", Hermes was coming down with Circusitis.

Catchphrases and Running Gags
Hermes' basic catchphrase is "Sweet [something] of [some place]!" (the 'something' and the 'some place' usually rhyme)

Variations include the following:
*Sweet llamas of the Bahamas!
*Sweet lion of Zion!
*Sweet three-toed sloth of Ice Planet Hoth!
*Sweet bongo of the Congo!
*Sweet Yeti of the Serengeti! She's gone crazy-eddy in the heady!
*Sweet guinea pig of Winnipeg!
*Sweet gorilla of Manila!
*Sweet manatee of Galilee!
*Sweet giant anteater of Santa Anita!
*Sweet squid of Madrid!
*Sweet sacred boa of Western and Eastern Samoa!
*Sweet honeybee of infinity!
*Cursed bacteria of Liberia!
*Great cow of Moscow!
*Sweet lamprey of Santa Fe!
*S-s-s-s-s-sweet something of... some place.
*Sweet coincidence of Port-au-Prince!
*Sweet topography of cosmology!
*Sweet dodo of Lesotho!
*Sweet tornadoes of Barbados!
*Sweet File-not-found of Puget Sound!
*Sweet Robot Swan of Botswana

A recurring joke involves Hermes about to eat a manwich, until it is stolen by Bender or Zoidberg, at which point Hermes cries "My Manwich!" (His son Dwight also has the same habit.)

Hermes usually refers to Conrad as "wife", supporting his bureaucratic nature by referring to her by title.

Hermes sometimes mentions green snakes and sugar canes including:
*Our electricity bill is climbing faster than a green snake up a sugar cane!
*I'm hungrier than a green snake in a sugar cane field.
*Fry, no! The pressure will crush you like a green snake under a sugar cane truck!
*That's flatter than a green snake under a sugar cane truck.

Another running gag is that he shows hatred to Zoidberg for no real reason at bizarre times. For example, after witnessing a temporarily blind Leela destroying the ceiling of Planet Express, Hermes turned to Zoidberg and said "That's coming out of your pay!", which brought Zoidberg to tears. Also, when Fry suggested Zoidberg had a parasite, Hermes followed up with "Maybe he is a parasite!". Plus in the episode "The Deep South" when the Planet Express Ship is under water, Hermies made a suggestion to eat Dr. Zoidberg. However he secretly thinks that Zoidberg is "pathetic but lovable".

Hermes has been shown nude more times than any other character in the series.
The Great Wizard Greyfarn is the Cornwood version of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth. He was a member of the Fellowship.

Character Description
The Wizard parallels the life of the Professor in several key areas. He once had a relationship with Momon (the Cornwood version of Mom) and apparently sired Ignus (the Cornwood version of Igner). There are also points of difference between them, though. Greyfarn appears to live alone in an outhouse which is larger on the inside than the outside, became romantically involved with Gynecaladriel (the Cornwood version of Amy Wong), which Professor Farnsworth hasn't been seen to do. There is no indication that he is related to Frydo (the Cornwood version of Philip J. Fry). Greyfarn seems to be a skilled magician, and much more active than Farnsworth.

Family
*Ignus, son.

Relationships
*Momon, former lover.

Biography
When Frydo, Leegola and Titanius Anglesmith turned arrived at his house with the Die of Power, Greyfarn told them of Momon and her sons. He informed them that the only way to destroy the die was to throw it into the boiling plastic from hence it came, the Geysers of Gygax.

After Frydo and Leegola ran away, the remainder of the Fellowship, including Greyfarn, continued to Wipe Castle to try to raise an army. Unfortunately, the king had gone insane and sent his army into the ocean, killing the soldiers and leaving the kingdom defenseless. Greyfarn was rescued with the others when Leegola returned with an army of Centaurs and destroyed the forces of Momon. When confronted by Ignus, a battle began, during which Ignus revealed that he is Greyfarn's son.

Mom is the owner and CEO of Mom's Friendly Robot Company. Her public face is that of a sweet, motherly old woman, but her personality in private is abrasive, abusive, bitter and in some cases, malevolent. Her public body is stereotypically motherly - fat and frail, usually in a rocking chair, but in private she takes off her fat-suit and is slim, usually sporting a skintight blue suit and tall black boots. Her bitterness may have been caused by her failed relationship with Professor Farnsworth. They briefly got back together on "Mother's Day", but she broke it off when she discovered that, although the Professor's feelings had become genuine, their meeting was a ploy to get the controller to stop the robot rebellion. As such, their conflict continues.

It is revealed in 3 that Professor Farnsworth is the father of Igner, the youngest of Mom's three sons. Walt and Larry's paternity is still in question, however it's possible Mom's first husband, Dr. Ogden Wernstrom, is their father. Despite having been married before, Mom has claimed that Professor Farnsworth was "the only man I ever loved. "She apparently holds the trademark on the words "Mom", "Love" and "Screen Door". Mom owns 99.7% of her conglomerate company MomCorp. The remaining 0.3% is split evenly between her three sons Walt, Larry and Igner. She appears in 3 under the identity "Momon" and eventually becomes a dragon that does battle with Fry, also a dragon.

Personality
In public Mom appeared to be a sweet and motherly old woman. However behind this facade was an evil, bitter and sometimes maniacal woman, who wanted to take over the world. She was often abusive to her sons, slapping them regularly and also said that robots made her "sick to my ass" even though her company made them. Mom was once in love with Hubert Farnsworth but breaking up with him was probably what caused her to become such a bitter woman. However it's quite possible that she'd been evil before their relationship ended. Mom also often called people insulting names.

Despite her claim that Hubert Farnsworth was the only man she'd ever loved, she has been seen in a relationship with Hubert's rival, Ogden Wernstrom. It was possible that her old age had caused her to forget this relationship, or she might not have really loved Wernstrom in the first place.
The Great Wizard Grayfarn is the Cornwood version of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth. He was a member of the Fellowship.

Character Description
The Wizard parallels the life of the Professor in several key areas. He once had a relationship with Momon (the Cornwood version of Mom) and apparently sired Ignus (the Cornwood version of Igner). There are also points of difference between them, though. Grayfarn appears to live alone in an outhouse which is larger on the inside than the outside, became romantically involved with Gynecaladriel (the Cornwood version of Amy Wong), which Professor Farnsworth hasn't been seen to do. There is no indication that he is related to Frydo (the Cornwood version of Philip J. Fry). Grayfarn seems to be a skilled magician, and much more active than Farnsworth.

Biography
When Frydo, Leegola and Titanius Anglesmith turned arrived at his house with the Die of Power, Grayfarn told them of Momon and her sons. He informed them that the only way to destroy the die was to throw it into the boiling plastic from hence it came, the Geysers of Gygax.

After Frydo and Leegola ran away, the remainder of the Fellowship, including Grayfarn, continued to Wipe Castle to try to raise an army. Unfortunately, the king had gone insane and sent his army into the ocean, killing the soldiers and leaving the kingdom defenseless. Grayfarn was rescued with the others when Leegola returned with an army of Centaurs and destroyed the forces of Momon. When confronted by Ignus, a battle began, during which Ignus revealed that he is Grayfarn's son.
