Like its predecessor, the Simpsons, Futurama's writers and voice actors are constantly inventing new words.
Overview
The words said on Futurama don't always exist in a standard dictionary. Several words have been invented by the writers and ad-libbed by the actors, creating these words for us:
I
- Intragnizent
- Probably meant to say intractable, but may also have meant unresponsive.
Coined by: Joey Mousepad (3ACV06)
R
- Rage Dump
- An expression meaning that someone needs to either vent their frustrations or possibly relax. "Take a rage dump" may be analogous to "chill out".
Coined by: Hermes Conrad (2ACV06)
S
- Science-Fictiony
- Of or relating to science-fiction.
Coined by: David X. Cohen, when explaining why he chose an "X" as his new middle initial.
- Scribble-Di-Gook
- A contemptuous word for chickenscratch or written gibberish.
Coined by: An unnamed old woman in the Last Curtain home. (3ACV08)
