Parallel universes are universes of similar nature and conception as ours. With notable differences, though. The universe that is ours does not have an official name, though it was coined as "Universe A" by the Planet Express crew, and as "Universe Gamma" by Yivo.
Known Universes
This is the list of parallel universe as they have been mentioned on the show and in the films. It should be noted that the names in italics are non-official names (i.e. their name is never actually mentioned). There are at least 1730 co-existing universes.
- Cowboy Universe
- The first parallel universe shown, that was created simultaneously by the Medium-Sized Bang. In this universe, everybody dresses as cowboys. Until the events of "The Farnsworth Parabox" (4ACV15), it was thought the only other existing parallel universe.
- Universe 1
- The main difference in this Universe is that coin flips end up differently, and boxes are blue.
- Icy Universe.
- Women Universe.
- Octopus Universe.
- Universe 25
- In this one, nobody has eyes, and boxes are white.
- Universe 1729
- Everybody are bobble-heads, and boxes are pink.
- Universe 31
- The humans are robots, and robots are possibly humans. Boxes are green.
- Universe XVII
- A universe where everything looks like the Roman Empire. Boxes are purple.
- Leprechaun Universe.
- Pirate Universe.
- Universe 420
- Everybody are hippies and smoke marijuana. They have a shortage of boxes, which are orange.
- Yivo's Universe
- The universe where Yivo lives by shklerself and Colleen. Interestingly, while all the other parallel universes mimics our universe in some fashion, this universe does not. It is entirely different, and according to Yivo, this universe is older than ours.
- Pocket Dimension Universe
- Where the Infosphere and the brains are now. This universe has mixed colours as its space.
What If Universes
What If universes are other universes explored by the What-If Machine.
- Giant Bender Universe
- Bender is huge and destroys most of New New York. Zoidberg becomes huge and kills Bender.
- Impulsive Leela Univers
- Leela becomes slightly more impulsive and kills everyone.
- Y2K Fry Universe
- Fry never got frozen and the universe implodes.
- Finglonger Universe
- The Professor invents the Fing-Longer. This may actually be our universe, as he later invents it.
- Human Bender Universe
- Bender is transformed into a human and eats until he dies.
- Video Game Universe
- Everything is similar to old video games. Earth is invaded by the Nintendians, who want to steal their quarters.
- Oz Universe
- Everything is similar to The Wizard of Oz, with Leela as Dorothy. This may or may not be a what If Universe, as this is Leela's dream.
- Futurama the Game Universe
- Mom takes over Earth and turns it into a giant spaceship, in hope of taking over the universe. The Planet express crew dies. Though this is not shown by the What If Machine, it could be considered a What If Universe from it's nature.
