  • The "Fox Exex..." headline is a reference to "Sticks nix hick pix", a famous headline printed in the Variety on 17 July, 1935.
    • The headline breaks down thusly: "Fox Execs Backs Sex Pics, Flicks Lacks Crux Bucks, Stocks Sinks, Ax Prex." In other words, "Fox executives back pornographic films which lack crucial money, stock sinks, the Fox President is fired."
