The robots that chase the crew and Cubert in the Near-Death Star [2ACV10] — a parody of the Death Star, from Star Wars — are reminiscent of Darth Vader.

Darth Vader, born Anakin Skywalker, is the overall protagonist of the first six Star Wars films. The character was ranked as the third-greatest villain of all time on the American Film Institute's "100 Heroes & Villains" list, in 2003, [1] and as the greatest supervillain on Bravo's Adam West-narrated three-part series Ultimate Super Heroes, Vixens and Villains, in 2005. [2] Futurama has referenced it at least three times.
