Episode

Doomsday devices are devices designed to destroy as much possible. Several of them are created by Professor Farnsworth who is always looking for opportunities to use them. He used one which imploded creating a black hole which sucked in the chronitons. The Planet Express building has at least two storage areas for these devices. Farnsworth's favourite was the Spheroboom, until it was used and therefore destroyed.

A doomsday device powered Bender when he was dying after getting out of the birthing machine. However, he had to keep partying, otherwise the energy of the device would accumulate and he would explode. During the Annual e-Waste Recycling Festival the Professor threw out some old devices because they are dangerous.

In "The Duh-Vinci Code", Leonardo da Vinci builds a doomsday machine to take revenge on the population of Planet Vinci who mock him for his stupidity, but he "barely kills anyone" before Fry shuts it down. The doomsday machine is a much older-looking variation of the doomsday devices, and its origin seems to be Planet Vinci.
