Hamenthotep was the Pharaoh of Osiris 4 preceding Bender. Soon following the completion of his pyramid, he was crushed by the nose of a statue of himself. Although he attempted to free the slaves with his dying breaths, Bender kept interrupting him so he couldn't get his message across and nobody could know the slaves were free.

- His name is a reference to Amenhotep I, who was the second Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Egypt.
- He resembles Tutankhamun.
- In the Italian dub his name was changed to "Giocaltotip", which is a pun on the phrase "Gioca al Totip", which means "(He) plays on Totip" (Totip is a name of an Italian horse-racing gambling pool).
