Good morning, people.

Animatics

Buddy13 FW16.png Sometimes the animatics contain additional information. Should we consider this information canon? It would seem pretty spiffy if we pointed out that Fry's shift actually ended three hours before he was made to deliver the pizza, and that he was only waiting there for his girlfriend to pick him up. Obviously these aren't final episodes, so some info might conflict with the final, but where it doesn't, I think it'd be cool if we included it. Thoughts?

Super Robot Fun Thingy

Buddy13 FW16.png Anyone have it? I put it on the DVD's page, but I don't have it so I couldn't fill it out. It's easy enough to get the episode listing from Amazon, but the special features also need to be listed.

Episodes

Buddy13 FW16.png Personally, I think finishing up the episodes should be top priority right now. It'll really help us get all the links out so we can start creating the more detailed articles, since, after all, literally everything happens within the episodes. I think if we each take a season and work on it, we can get it done faster. Gopher can take season two, since he's already done part of it, Whaler can take season four, and I could take season three. At this point I think we should just focus on that, to the exclusion of all the minor articles, until every episode has an article. Other thoughts on the subject?

User:Gopher/sig This has been my main task, but I've just been too busy lately to work here much; I wish I could promise it'll pass soon but hopefully soon I'll be back to having a regular 9-to-5 job (been doing freelancing and various odd jobs) and who knows how much time I'll have then? For now I've got to keep spending all my available time mastering PHP, as a friends' company needs an in-house PHP programmer to save them from overpriced contractors who're always late. This is compounded by the fact that pulling all-nighters working on an ambitious project in a language I've never used before with a looming deadline is my idea of fun.

Whotmsig.jpg[Whaler on the Moon] OK, I will take care of Season 4, although it may take some time. I can also try editing other episodes.

Buddy13 FW16.png For now, just work in Season 4 (episode-wise, anyway), so we can get it done ASAP. We can work on depth after that.

Unused Images

Buddy13 FW16.png There's a buttload of 'em. See? That's way too many. I'm gonna try not to upload any more pics that aren't for episodes, but sometimes I can't help myself. I mean, who can resist taking a shot of the Pain Monster? That guy needs to be mentioned somewhere, and it's easier to catch him when I see him than try and remember later what episode he's in. But that's just my nuttiness. Somebody needs to start using them.

User:Gopher/sig That I can try to help with more, as many of them don't require huge initial articles like episodes do (it takes me over an hour to do a first version of an episode article, and that's if I work without distractions) I had been going along behind you creating the articles so no pictures were left unused, but more pressing matters from RL have an annoying way of interfering with time-consuming hobbys :)

Buddy13 FW16.png Don't worry. If things go the way they're looking like they might be in my own RL, I won't be around much at all. I.E., one or two days per week. But yeah, it takes me an hour or so with an episode as well. I watch it one time through, typing as the show plays... pausing sometimes when I fall behind (usually cuz my kid or my wife distracts me). Then I play it again with the commentary on, to learn the airdate, the commentators, and they usually mention who plays what minor character voices.

Firefox Extension

I just found this firefox extension. I haven't fully customized it yet, but it seems like it could be extremely helpful. If you're on Firefox, you might want to check it out. [Update]: It's not perfect, but it's quite handy, expecially for templates. I wish it were a bit more customizable, but it's quite functional. Buddy13 FW16.png

Alien Language Sightings

Perhaps it might be better if, instead of putting the sightings up at the top, they were put down in the "Additional Info" sections. Then you can be a bit more detailed than just telling how many sightings there are. It will also keep the Alien Languages page about alien languages, rather than being a list of sightings. What do you think? Buddy13 FW16.png
