Description
The Sol system is the home star system of. Sol is a fairly typical middle-aged yellow star. This star has a collection of 9 planets orbiting it, most with their own moons, as well as an uncountable number of other, minor sattelites.

Description : In order to save New New York from a giant ball of 20th century garbage, another ball of garbage was created and launched into space. The original ball was deflected, but the new one remained on a long, eliptical trajectory and may threaten Earth again in the future.
Halley's Comet

Description : A significant comet, whose long, eliptical trajectory has a period of 80 years. For centuries, it was mined for ice to drop into the ocean, offsetting the effects of global warming. Was tapped dry in 3002 by the Planet Express crew.
