Discussion

I brought this up on the discussion page for Decision 3012, but it didn't go anywhere from there, so I thought I'd bring it to the whole community's attention. I think we should have a label similar to disputed cannon for paradoxes. I'm not sure what I want it to be, but we could use it for Decision 3012 and other episodes that involve paradoxes or potential paradoxes like "Roswell that Ends Well" and "Bender's Big Score". I disagree. For my own part, I don't see the necessity of a "paradox" or "potential paradox" label. The "disputed canon" label exists because, unless otherwise stated, it is assumed that ALL episodes/films/whatever are canon. Hence, stories like the Anthology of Interest-esque tales have to be explicitly stated as events which may not occur in the storyline of the series, as well as a lot of things related to the comics. Time paradoxes, by contrast, are events that occur within the storyline of the series. Their very nature is that of events which, although they may be erased and forgotten, did actually happen. In fact, not only did the events of "Roswell that Ends Well" and "Bender's Big Score" happen, they have had enormous impact and relevance to the story. -- DeepSpaceHomer (talk) 21:50, 27 July 2012 (CEST)
