Just a note - ''Brannigan, Begin Again'' doesn't necessarily imply that the UN didn't exist, just that it was a DOOP-like organization Fry should be familiar with from his time in the 20th century. The fact that it still exists in some form makes Hermes knowledge of it more reasonable (vs. just some long-dead 1000-year-ago organization). ''Anthology of Interest II'' already featured the UN, albeit in a grossly fictionalized premise.

Just a note - Brannigan, Begin Again doesn't necessarily imply that the UN didn't exist, just that it was a DOOP-like organization Fry should be familiar with from his time in the 20th century. The fact that it still exists in some form makes Hermes knowledge of it more reasonable (vs. just some long-dead 1000-year-ago organization). Anthology of Interest II already featured the UN, albeit in a grossly fictionalized premise.

I assume the Professor's comment that it is 'similar to the United Nations from your time.' --Sviptalk 12:23, 15 September 2010 (CEST)
