Change output

The current output of this template really disturbs sentences - see for example the Pine tree article. I'm not that into WikiMedia programming which is the main reason I don't just fix it myself. Also, I have two different suggestions on how to use this template in the future:

  1. As today, but the output is changed to not exceed the general height of the sentence.
  2. As a notation system, like today's references. Seeing as I'm not that into WikiMedia programming I don't know if this could easily be done, but it seems to me that it should be easy to incorporate it into the references. {{ein|6ACV13}} -> <ref>{{e|6ACV13}}</ref>

I don't like suggestion 2. It'd just complicate it for us. And the references don't look that good either. But I do agree with suggestion 1, even though I prefer the (6ACV13) alternative, which is much simpler and has been used for a long time, over this template. We could also choose Template:Es, which does the same as the one I like, but I don't see many people using it. "I still think this whole thing is against nature."
