The Muppets

Tickle Me Elmo is a children's toy based on the character Elmo from the children's television show Sesame Street. Futurama has parodied it twice.

Tickle Me Elmo in Futurama

• In 3009, Planet Express went out of business because its Tickle Me Bender dolls did not sell well (5ACV15) and Fry turned into a muppet (US#044).
• In 3010, Kif read a book entitled It's not Easy being Green (US#051).
• In 3011, the Planet Express crew encountered Tickle Me Elmo's fire on its voyage through the Bermuda Tetrahedron (6ACV15).
