I have caught you "fixing" the word "favourite" in the Nudar article twiceYou should know by reading the FAQ that we have a rule against thisYes, you can use both US and UK English when writing articles, but "correcting" one to another is not permitted.  If it is part of a larger edit though, we may see pass itBut generally not accepted.  --SvipTalk 11:21, 10 February 2008 (PST)

:You should not change the spelling of these words. If one is correct it is that which is more accepted across the globe. That is the one with the "u". we leave them as is whichever way was first used in a paragraph for a good reason. Furthermore, and on a personal note, you should not be editing anything on other peoples user pages unless it is to remove things that are discriminatory or explicit.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Infosphere! We're glad to have you as a member. If you need any help, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

New users must read the Help pages before creating a new page.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
    • If you have an idea for a major change that will help The Infosphere, suggest it over at the Conference Table.
  • If you want to create a new article, make sure that it doesn't already exist and that the article you've created is linked to from another article. Our article templates should help you out.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to current events.
  • To practice editing, go over to the playground.
  • You can help decide what's on the Main Page by voting on Featured Articles or making new nominations.
  • You can also use "" on your Userpage, if you wish to have a simple starting point. Additionally, you can make use of userboxes
  • Remember to sign your posts to talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). Alternatively, you can create a custom signature at User:Chabby/sig, and insert it by typing , preferably followed by five tildes to insert the date.
  • If you have a personal website (Futurama-centric or completely unrelated), feel free to add it to the Community Portal
  • Above all, be sure to be bold and have fun!

Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

Sincerely,
Quolnok, and "The Infosphere Welcoming Committee" Quolnok 17:00, 6 February 2008 (PST)

Standardising pages...

Sir, you ought to know about previewing your articles before submitting them. I have noticed that you spend a lot of edits getting your article working. And it could be quite fuzzy for people viewing it in the mean time. Sure, it is possible to make mistakes, but most of your edits could be resolved into a single edit, if you used the preview button. Please consider this. Otherwise, I appreciate your work. :) --SvipTalk 07:58, 13 April 2008 (PDT)

Welcoming IPs

We only do it on rare occasion. However, there's a variant for them which encourages registration and doesn't mention creating a user page before creating an account. - Quolnok 19:33, 15 April 2008 (PDT)
