Dr. Daniel Zenus' robot is a character on the T.V. show The Scary Door. Zenus, who built the robot to undertake his tasks, has it do his research and assume his social obligations, but the scientific recognition and the love that he would get later goes to the robot. Zenus then has the robot experience this tragic irony for him.

- Dr. Daniel Zenus' robot may be based on the early science-fiction icon Robby the Robot, who was used in a Twilight Zone episode with a similar story — "The Brain Center at Whipple's".
- In the comic-con reading for 6ACV17, [1] the robot was voiced by Billy West.
