Discussion

As you may have noticed, I have created the following production sections: Space Pilot 3000#Production and The Series Has Landed#Production. If you ask me, they are pretty decent. But they are - however - not finished. For you see, a production section should not be about what the commentary is about.

The commentary is an excellent tool to gather information about a specific episode, but the commentary also contain information not related to the episode at all, and may also have information relevant to other episodes, which means, a production section should reflect everything worthy of production description for the topic at hand.

Which is why, for instance, telling you who directed the opening sequence or how long it took to render it should not be in the production sections for the Space Pilot 3000 and Love's Labours Lost in Space articles, despite the fact that this information is mentioned on their commentaries. Nay, this should be in the production section for the opening sequence.

I just wish to clarify my philosophy with the production sections, and I hope no one objects, because then I might just get busy on making an Infosphere:Production article, describing how to deal with these sort of sections from a wiki perspective. --SvipTalk 13:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good, don't think anything can ever really be called "finished" though. - Quolnok 13:46, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
