calendar

What year?

Last name

Shouldn't the article be "Scruffy Scruffington"?

Only when we get confirmation on that is actually his name. I am not sure we consider the calendars canon. --SvipTalk 04:19, 24 January 2008 (PST)
Calendars are usually non-canon plays on words anyway. Unless it shows up in a comic or better, I'd say we leave it out. --Buddy 11:24, 31 January 2008 (PST)
Comics are given higher canon status than calendars and so it appears he has no last name, like Teller. [1] - Quolnok (talk) 14:05, 6 July 2015 (CEST)

Random sidenote

When doing an impression of scruffy (which I do rather passably), it is important to pronounce "janitor" as "janerter" -- it sounds more authentic this way. --Buddy 15:27, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

I'm on break. --SvipTalk 15:29, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

hair

it says on the article his hair turned gray before (or during) anthologhy of interest 1 but when it comes back from the commercial showing the back of every one exept for professor his hat is gray then it switches to front and it is brown and his mustache is gray - unsigned comment by Mattpoppen

Precisely, that goof has his hair (and everything else on him) change from the current to the old to the current colouring during an episode in a matter of seconds. The gray was intended to be there for the whole episode, but isn't. that's why we say "before (or during)" - Quolnok 21:09, 10 April 2008 (PDT)

Joke

I'm a bit confused here about something. How exactly does Fry having 2 numbers for Scruffy extend the joke of no one knowing who he is?Anarchy Balsac 01:36, 18 July 2008 (CEST)

Because no one does. There are no evidence other than remarks made by Fry that Scruffy and he have anything to do with each other. And I am assuming most likely that the writers is only using it as a joke, there really is no friendship. --SvipTalk 04:51, 18 July 2008 (CEST)
Right, but that's not evidence of this particular tidbit pointing to said joke. I think if anything, a secret friendship between the two may be a running gag, like Bender's camera, or the professor's cannibalism.Anarchy Balsac 06:23, 18 July 2008 (CEST)
Farnsworth never seems confused who he is. Also, Scruffy and Fry's friendship is explored in the comics (Do not use this template, use {{clink}} instead.), granted they're noncannon, but still; there's three points to that friendship. - Quolnok 13:20, 18 July 2008 (CEST)
Plus, it's funnier to actually have two numbers for someone, and still never be able to remember who they are. --Buddy 03:37, 19 July 2008 (CEST)
Fry hasn't shown any confusion as to who Scruffy is though.Anarchy Balsac 05:00, 19 July 2008 (CEST)

Scruffy in "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back"?

I don't see him in that episode. Should I delete that information or does he really appears? --Superbender 15:54, 2 July 2011 (CEST)

I don't remember, but I'll rewatch it tonight to check. If I fail to see him, I'll erase it until someone can point him out. - akitalk 16:13, 4 July 2011 (CEST)

Death

Scruffy was killed by santa in The Futurama Holiday Spectacular, right? so, after his death they brought him back as a zombie. Or is there a reason the page doesnt say in wich episode he died.

"The Futurama Holiday Spectacular" is not canon. The entire crew died too as I recall. --Sviptalk 14:38, 18 August 2011 (CEST)
The entire crew died thrice. -- DeepSpaceHomer 15:20, 18 August 2011 (CEST)
There is no indication of when he died, it may have even been before 2999. But it definitely wasn't the Holiday Special. As Svip said, it's not canon. It's more in the spirit of an Anthology of Interest. --Buddy 01:09, 19 August 2011 (CEST)

Scrubs Reference

In the trivia section where it says Scruffy may be a reference to the janitor from Scrubs, but Scruffy was introduced before Scrubs even went on the air so that's not possible.

Then the guy on Scrubs was clearly a ripoff of Scruffy! Let's sue! --Buddy 07:41, 24 September 2011 (CEST)

Isn't Zoidberg the majority owner of planet express?

In the trivia section of this page, it says scruffy owns more stock than any other employee. Doesn't Zoidberg, the majority owner, own more stock? -- the preceding unsigned comment was written by 24.124.113.46.

Zoidberg sold his shares to That Guy for a sandwich. Sanfazer (talk) 02:42, 30 August 2013 (CEST).
In "Future Stock". Sanfazer (talk) 02:48, 30 August 2013 (CEST).

Still, that makes Scruffy not the largest share holder in the company.

It can be assumed that Zoidberg's former shares still exist. They would have been part of That Guy's estate or perhaps Fry gained control of them permanently, then Bender stole them. In other words it is currently unclear who has what number of shares. - Quolnok (talk) 06:02, 30 August 2013 (CEST)
