"Wrong order"?

That's the way I've been doing it the whole time I've been here; newest day of seven on top, add new items to the bottom of their day, use whichever of the images from the first articles of the day is best*

*mostly based on whim

I thought it was the newest goes on top and uses that picture. I sometimes use the "Other New Articles" page. — Chris of the Futurama 2 [ discuss | contribute ] 04:05, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Strictly speaking there's no rule on where in the section it goes or which of the images to use, so long as the articles all go up, there's an image from the most recent day (if one exists**) and there's only seven days there. - Quolnok 05:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
**otherwise keep the old one. - Quolnok 11:36, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Can anyone shed some light on this? — Chris of the Futurama 2 [ discuss | contribute ] 22:44, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Uh, did I not just do that? The whim based system has worked for three years. So long as everything is put in the right day (based on the person who is adding it to the template's timezone), there are seven days and a recent, related image is there. - Quolnok 00:30, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Alrighty, then. — Chris of the Futurama 2 [ discuss | contribute ] 01:20, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

New proposed format

I propose the following format in accordance with new main page proposal (based on its current content):

6-article hard limit (with dates)

Neptune1.jpg
17 November
15 November
11 November
10 November
9 November

10-article hard limit (without dates)

Neptune1.jpg

Shorter date hard limit

Neptune1.jpg

17 November

15 November

11 November

10 November

Which one is best? Or got an alternative version? --Svip 18:56, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

i'm happy with the 10 article hard limit. --I'm Scruffy... the Janitor. 20:38, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Go with the ten I think, the dates make us look kind of inactive anyway. - Quolnok 12:23, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Project Pages

Should we list project pages here? I mean, I know they are not usually listed in the New Pages, but I think this article about spoilers is actually very important, and should be read by new members. It wouldn't even be a bad idea for it to be linked to in the main page. Fan Futurama 17:53, 21 September 2010 (CEST)

I think project pages should be included, they come so seldom anyway. And yes, the spoiler page should be linked to from the index page, so everyone is warned at least. :) Aki 23:08, 21 September 2010 (CEST)
Infosphere:Spoilers is officially the first project page to be part of what's new here... I'm very proud of... SPOILER ALERT!! Fan Futurama 23:23, 21 September 2010 (CEST)
I think I:IW or something was there at one point, but I'm not sure and don't feel like digging. - Quolnok 02:18, 22 September 2010 (CEST)
I've done it again. Infosphere:Tracking is probably something people should be aware of. Oh, and, by the way, how's that index page linking going? Can anyone do that yet? San Saber 21:25, 26 December 2010 (CET)
