  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
    • If you have an idea for a major change that will help The Infosphere, suggest it over at the Conference Table.
  • If you want to create a new article, make sure that it doesn't already exist and that the article you've created is linked to from another article. Our article templates should help you out.

  • To practice editing, go over to the playground.
  • You can help decide what's on the Main Page by voting on Featured Articles or making new nominations.
  • You can also use "{{subst:UserpageTemplate}}" on your Userpage, if you wish to have a simple starting point. Additionally, you can make use of userboxes
  • Remember to sign your posts to talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). Alternatively, you can create a custom signature at User:Scruffy/sig, and insert it by typing {{User:Scruffy/sig}}, preferably followed by five tildes to insert the date.
  • If you have a personal website (Futurama-centric or completely unrelated), feel free to add it to the Community Portal
  • Above all, be sure to be bold and have fun!

English to English changes

As per the Manual of Style, you really shouldn't correct spellings to/from US and UK/AU English. I'm also curious why you went both directions; "computerised" is the correct spelling outside the US, and the 's' spelling is actually more popular on Google. - Quolnok 10:30, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

I have to update on this, Scruffy, you've been really going at it lately. We have a policy, and you're not following it. We appreciate the largely contributory edits you make, but we cannot have you working against a policy we have created to make sure everyone was happy. I recommend you to respond to these comments within 24 hours, or I will revoke your rights for a limited time. I am, and I bet Quolnok is too, honestly tired of being ignored. --SvipTalk 01:00, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about that. When I finish an article I usually paste it in Microsoft Word and my default spellchecker is in Australian English. I won't change the spelling anymore unless necessary. --My leg feels funny! 02:14, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Avoid Microsoft Word for that. Use a web browser with the capabilities of a spell checker, such as Firefox. Also, "colour" is Australian English. Most of the edits you make seems to be US English and not AU English. You might want to look into that, btw, before you get too trustworthy of your spell checker. --SvipTalk 10:17, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey!

As a fan of Futurama, I cannot tolerate anyone bad-mouthing it! (Sorry if when you called it a piece-of-shit show you meant likw when people like something very much and call it "the shit") BenderZombie 05:39, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

haha. you do realize that i was being "sarcastic". i love futurama! --I'm Scruffy... the Janitor. 05:50, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

I am aware of sarcasm. It's just that usually in sarcasm, you say positive things and say it in a tone that makes it negative, not the other way around. It is also hard to tell if you were sarcastic because I can only read what you say, not hear it! Also, it wouldn't make sense to be on a wiki about Futurama if you didn't like it. Happy Halloween

You stink! Bender's great! Deal with it!(I'm not insulting you, it's just one of my favorite quotes from the show) BenderZombie 11:03, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

happy halloween! even if we don't celebrate it in my country (Australia). --I'm Scruffy... the Janitor. 22:54, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
