Boris Yeltsin was the President of Russia from 1991 to 1999, and was a resident of the Head Museum in the original storyboard for "Space Pilot 3000". While Fry was trying to get Richard Nixon's head off his arm, Bender picks up Yeltsin's head jar and starts drinking from it like it was a fine alcohol. He puts Yeltsin back after Smitty and URL show up to arrest him and Fry.

Trivia

  • Bender treats Boris Yeltsin's jar like a glass of liquor. Because Bender only runs on alcohol, his actions could say that Yeltsin's head is indeed living in some kind of liquor.
    • If true, it could also be a reference to Yeltsin's often-rumored alcoholism (e.g. "to drown yourself in alcohol").
  • Drinking from a head jar would reappear later in the series, when Hank Aaron XXIV takes a sip from Wade Bogg's head jar (3ACV16).

Quotes

Bender: [After sipping from Yeltsin's jar.] Ahhhhh.
