Bender was a former character on All My Circuits, played by Bender Bending Rodríguez. He was originally to replace the actor of Antonio Calculon, Jr., but he felt he could spawn his own character. He was noted by the executives of the station that runs All My Circuits that his high-filth appearance on the show was good for business, and thus he was kept. However, the actor of the character quit, when he realized that his own appearance was bad for himself.
During his short appearance on the show, he was extremely popular. He had several products named after him as mechanise. However, many viewers were not keen on his high-filth appearances, and thus Professor Farnsworth, Hermes Conrad, and the actor Bender himself started a Bender protest group, Fathers Against Rude Television.
