Boris Yeltsin was the former President of Russia, and a resident of the Head Museum in the original storyboard for "Space Pilot 3000". While Fry was trying to get Richard Nixon's head off his arm, Bender picks up Yeltsin's head jar and starts drinking from it like it was a fine alcohol.

- Bender treats Yeltsin's jar like a glass of liquor. Because Bender only runs on alcohol, his actions could be a reference to Boris Yeltsin's often-rumored alcoholism.
