Francine is an officer of unknown rank on the Nimbus. She is part of the bridge crew, and apparently the communications officer. Because of her smooth, soothing voice, she is originally mistaken for a prerecorded voice. As a member of the bridge crew, she is in close proximity to Zapp Brannigan and thus (similar to Lt. Kif Kroker) is one of the few crewmembers of the Nimbus who has survived for multiple appearances.
